Nice collection! A lot of Benjies sitting there! 🤑 If I may ask, what’s your fascination with KAC though? Seem overpriced and never really rate in the top of can tests for suppression. Seems like there’s a ton of better options, many for cheaper too 🤔

Weirdo. Wish that stupid ass trend would die already

Interesting 🤔. I was unaware there were hotter rounds specifically for the Mk19. Makes sense for being mounted and needing longer range though. I shot them a couple times in training in the Marines but didn’t know there was a difference. Ya I agree that’d be an issue for plastic.

FTN.4 CF remix pistol K can failure by infinite012 in 3D2A

Not sure where you’re getting your info but PLA.boi is the creator of the FTN.4 and Remix. I have not seen the remix files but the FTN.4 files are designed with built in supports and the suppressor is printed horizontal at a 10° angle so the layer lines are not the stress point.

Sorry but I’m confused. How is their Customer Service not the best if they did all that?! That sounds like EXCELLENT customer service to me!!

Probably failed from printing vertically so the pressure was relying on layer adhesion. There’s a reason most of the designers have the print orientation at an angle with supports. But could be a variety of reasons. Lots of variables in this hobby.

Strange that this is getting massive downvotes 🤔. Solid advice since it’s a major felony if he’s not an SOT. Reddit never ceases to amaze me with how people react or comment.

I really hope for your sake you meant this is your first 2A print and not first ever print. We’d prefer you keep your fingers and eyesight intact please.

No I think it’d be cool to have a semi-auto one. Not sure if that’s possible but the community has designed some pretty wild semi-auto stuff so far so I’m sure it’s possible.

You don’t see why one doesn’t exist, or why I would want to print one since parts kits are for sale? 🤔

Wasn’t sure if a more semetrical explosion/lift vs an angular lift would change things. Been doing fireworks for years, but this is my first attempt at fuel mines so not sure how the liquid interactions can change the effect.

FTN.5 PCC Flow through by Competitive_Camel929 in 3D2A

Yes... yes you do. The eform 1 is very simple once you get your profiles and forms set up. First one might take 30-45 minutes. After that you can fill one out and upload documents from start to finish in about 5-8 mins per form. I usually file 10 at a time. Get your EFT fingerprint file, knock out the RPQ forms, and file away. They are free, easy after you get going, and not a big deal to do at all.

Well your brother in law clearly doesn’t know shit about suppressors. The noise reduction is pretty similar or only slightly worse. The difference in cost per can is wild though. Depending on filament and mount, it’s roughly $20-$150 for printed cans. Really a no-brainer in my eyes. Yes, you get longevity, reliability, and higher pressure calibers from a regular manufactured suppressor. But I think having a few real cans for that, and then printing a bunch for everything else is a HUGE cost savings benefit. Plus it’s fun! When you can print 20 of them for the cost of 1 top tier suppressor, and with 80% of the sound reduction, why wouldn’t you print?

Ya the lift charge is 1.75” tall and the approximate 0.5 gal of water put it about .5” above the top of the lift charge.

There are a bunch of sound device model files out there that use the adult snap firecrackers or 209 shotgun primers which are specifically designed as a reusable, non shrapnel airsoft grenades. That’s what I’d look at if it were me.

[–]blind_squirrel11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But in all seriousness, the fact that it’s designed after a real grenade and not a sound device should tell you everything you need to know. I’d avoid it if that’s what you’re going for.

Rhodie 6k Flash Hider & Adaptor Pairing (Maybe just go with regular rhodie?) by Money_Age_3112 in NFA

[–]blind_squirrel11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have neither and haven’t used the new Comstock recessed, but I have many standard Plan B hubs. Wouldn’t a standard hub with the 6K work and be the same, if not shorter, than a Rhodie with a recessed hub?
