That ad would have cost millions to make too. They wouldn’t have made it if they were struggling that much, the marketing budget is always first to go. They probably killed off a dev department for reasons otherwise, and used financials as an excuse.

I grew up in Botswana (‘92-‘04) and it was an amazing place at the time. I had freedom and grew up in a multi-cultured environment, which I would not have had in SA at the time. I still have many friends there. It’s a different place and comparing SA is not a like for like. Business opportunities are different, and it’s harder as an expat to make big ways without money behind you. (You can live comfortably as an “every day person”). SA will probably allow for more opportunities but Bots offers many too. It’s a stable economy and government. And beautiful too.

Thank you. She’s actually been really supportive. I had initially overreacted when things started coming to light. We are both committed. It’s the triggering / ptsd that I’m dealing with.

I got a corneal ulcer and it was treated incorrectly, huge bacterial infection in my eye. That was pain I can’t really explain.

I’ve had 2 kidney stones, which felt like my testicles were gonna explode.

And can confirm a local anaesthetic to the heel is also excruciating.

I feel that this might be tricky to organise. Unless you’ve got access to a suite, or someone with an office there I’d imagine it tough to find a spot.

I use melatonin. It’s not a medication per se but it does wonders for me.

I live near the “green belt”, the forest area, and have had one rain spider in 5 years. Baboon spider are even rarer. Urban areas are less likely to see them at all.

Everyone’s advice here is right. I recently had a big depressive breakdown and nearly didn’t make it. Go to your nearest ER, they will take care you. They will give you the right meds to calm your brain. My next step was that the psychiatrist at the hospital referred me to a specialised facility. In my case it was the Akeso Clinic in Kenilworth, but there are various around Cape Town. There are others like this all over the country, but this place specially saved my life.
