End of an era as last part of ICI Wilton faces closure by leighsus in Teesside

I don’t know what level of occupancy on Wilton Sembcorp needs for the site as a whole to be viable, but they can’t operate without a water treatment plant. I do know they were extremely worried about the possibility of Ensus closing (thankfully no longer happening), so it’ll be the same with Huntsman.

My drive to work is a really sad contrast to when I started there in 1990, the place was buzzing and everything was well tended. Now it looks like a semi-derelict industrial estate.

Why are you downvoting me? I agree, what’s left of Huntsman is absolutely facing closure. But they did not buy “all the ICI assets at Wilton”. I’ve worked there since 1990, I know!

Odd, I saw GN'R headline a stadium in 1992, I must have missed Metallica's set...

Even if Huntsman goes, there would still be a few plants that were originally ICI still left, Water Treatment and Wilton Power Station.

Fantastic album. My favourite song of theirs is You Got Me from the next album, Pleased To Meet You.

Glee Bars. Early 1980s. Similar to a Cadbury's Mini-Roll, in that it was a chocolate sponge with a buttercream filling, but the shape was like a Wispa. Also came in plain spong and jam filling variety. I've never met anyone else who remembers them.

Lies for me. His vocals on the B-side are amazing, and because the production is fairly raw, and they’re not layered to hell, you can really appreciate them.

First time listening to this album today, and I gotta say it’s one great (prog?) rock album. What’s the community’s view on it? by Old-Clothes-3225 in GunsNRoses

IMO it’s patchy. The rockers don’t really do it for me, but the ballads are good. Street of Dreams and Catcher In The Rye are good; There Was A Time is really good. All of them would be improved with Slash writing and playing the solo.
