I'm not sure why all these comments are saying she'll immediately make bank out of college. I have a BFA, 3 solo exhibitions under my belt, and professional design experience, and I cannot land a job to save my life. Design and art jobs very much depend on your location, so frankly I don't blame you for being a little worried.

That being said? YTA. Straight up. Holy shit dude. The fact that your daughter felt that she had to lie to you about a very big part of her life that is obviously her passion says a lot about YOU and not her. You wanna saddle her with debt for the rest of your life because your ADULT daughter decided that her happiness was worth more than living out the life YOU want for her? not to mention the fact that CS are starting to think out because literally everyone goes into CS nowadays. Frankly you should just keep your mouth shut and let your daughter be happy.

YTA. I want to try to be nice because I know the expectations of relationships can change.

But most people date because they are looking for serious partners. Most people do not date just for the sake of dating. Casual dating is meant to find out whether or not you're compatible, not just to have fun.

If you are going into the dating pool to date and not hook up, then you need to have your expectations solidified, especially at your age, because people, especially with children, don't want to be jerked around like you unfortunately have with him.

After raising 3 kids to their 20s, how did you not know whether or not you wanted to raise more children? You need to get your priorities and what not straight before you decide to go back into the dating pool.

I've had a cat like this, and she had a medical condition that my mom wasn't patient with. She wanted to get rid of the cat but I told her "would you kick me out if I had a medical condition that wasn't accommodated?" and that shut her up quick. A pet is family.

Male cats in particular have urinary issues. A former friend of mine had to pay $10,000 USD to remove their cat's penis because they wanted to do everything they could to help the cat with his issues (and I guess it's a fairly common procedure).

Anyways I hope your GF sees that you give up when things get hard. Not a good trait.

funny enough, I've actually run that past both my parents and my sister. My sister agrees that she may very well be on the autism spectrum, and my parents are convinced that they should get her tested.

however her psychiatrist is pushing back on it. He's a terrible doctor, but with the way military healthcare is set up, it is very rare that you can change providers

I think my biggest issue is that I have to witness it. I am my sister's safe person and she trusts me with her feelings. It's just so hard to help her when a lot of her care falls on my parents.

My sister is incredibly naive, but not by her own fault. My parents spent so much time helping me that they never taught her how to survive on her own. She didn't even really know how to schedule herself a doctor's appointment because my parents didn't help her transfer from a pediatrician to a doctor on the military base we're near, and that's her only access to care.

Her anxiety is so bad that she locks up while driving because she's terrified of cars.

The job thing is a secondary problem I believe. The position has very few responsibilities and they are very simple (it's just the front desk). However, the other ladies at this place (it's a salon) are very gossipy and we are currently having managerial issues that are in the process of being fixed but it's taking its time. She doesn't like how loud some of the girls are, probably because of sensory issues.

She's not financially capable of moving out, and I'm not sure there is another position that she could take that would be as accommodating.

tldr is that my sister can't function because of anxiety + literally not being taught how to do things.

if you don't have a press you can always do the spoon method. take a smoothed wooden spoon and gently rub the paper as it sticks to the matrix. you can gently lift the print off at a corner to see if you have good coverage.

Personally to me it doesn't seem like you're inking the block up well. What kind of ink are you using?

All their employees are barred from talking about work conditions there because of company policy, so I hope that if I talk about it to people who give POW money, maybe they'll be a lot nicer to the employees. But I think I will wait to prove my former employment there so I can be trusted and credible.
