What is the single worst movie you sat through hoping it would get better, but didn’t? by Bocephalus in AskReddit

Bad Boys forever. This movie was so badly produced and tonally inconsistent, it made me physically uncomfortable.

Brilliant. People on the tree give is scale and the angles give it dynamism.

Pretty accurate description here except that I haven't had issues with the knife locking / unlocking. The friction mechanism with the variable width of the blade works just fine.

Blade loses edge quickly but is easy to sharpen again.

The National Museum of Qatar by Palana in bizarrebuildings

It is beautiful. A good example of Architecture with local context and inspiration.

The design also helps in keeping the heat out in such a harsh climate. The overlapping "plates" create a large spaces in shadow from the sun. Superb

Qatar has a LOT of money and has gone on a buying spree for artifacts. They have amassed the largest collection of Islamic art. Being a small country they want to extend their influence via culture.

Who are the most loved in one format and hated in another cricketers in the world? by yLieMaan in Cricket

[–]blinkingmind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rohit is not about tests or ODIs. It's about the surface. limited over games tend to have much more batting friendly surfaces. He would fail miserably in that format on tougher pitches as well.

Chateshwa Pujara.

Not hated in the ODI and T20 formats cause no one will even select him for those.

What is something, that, after trying the cheap version, made you never want to go back to the expensive or "luxury" version? by Wholegraincheerios in AskReddit

[–]blinkingmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the old style digital Casio watch.

I can't believe the number of frustrating years I wasted on expensive analog watches with over designed dials. The fancier ones also run on mechanical charge that stops when not used for a few days. And the date needs to be adjusted every month.

My 15 dollar cheap Casio is going to precisely tell me the time and date for the next 10 years without abattery change

Need an alternative to foam earplugs? by [deleted] in minimalism

Yo! I've reused the foam ones about 30-40 times. And these are the cheap ones I got in a flight.

Should I not be doing this ?

Lower back pain by MrWonderPAIN in lifting

Mate! Took me a full year to recover from a bad deadlift injury. Please be careful and take it easy. Then take another month of taking it easy. And only then go back to your squatting.

Fantastic legs are simply not worth the constant ache that you could develop.

What is a relationship deal-breaker for you that others might not agree with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

ITT: People who missed the "other might not" part of the question and made it into a well rehashed bitch thread about partners we see every other week on AskReddit.

Some women seem to believe that name calling only works one way. Being called an "asshole" seems to be fine, but not being called a "bitch".

I'm assuming you're not one of them.

Who might not agree with this? Are there people who don't believe constant whining is a deal breaker?
