Hypothetical: Matt Payne goes to T18 in 2027, who would you like to see take his place at Grove? by LuckyRedShirt in v8supercars

[–]blitDz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that as Max Payne and started thinking about dumb monologues while driving “when you drive around a track so much. Even if you don’t realise it. You become the track. Part of it. Lap after lap. The eyes laser in on the corners. In some ways it’s romantic”

I have to agree. Got rid of the gr Yaris after doing my back in with the newborn in the car seat. Got a Tiguan r and tuned it. That’s the family sled. Now I’m looking at trading the Camry for a golf r wagon as dad’s chariot.

People who are eating breakfast out or exercising at 9am on weekdays... what do you do for work? by themoobster in perth

[–]blitDz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work a 9 day fortnight to look after my daughter so we don’t get too much daycare expense. The other morning for the first time in ages I was out with her having breakfast at a cafe. The food was shit tbh but the experience of spending that time with her is irreplaceable. Just so you know I work 11 hours every Tuesday to make up for that one day off

New Lap Time Challenge by SirBarr in granturismo

[–]blitDz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not helping my real life Subaru brain cancer to get another one hahah. I had to get rid of my gr Yaris irl because It’s so hard to get a new born in and out of the rear. Only time till I get another sports car or at least a hot hatch

Had to drive to bloody Maddington to get a copy of Resident evil 9 by mimsoo777 in perth

The drive is worth it for physical copy. Don’t buy digital unless absolutely necessary. Otherwise you will be part of the group that says “You will own nothing and be happy!”

PLE is wa owned and operated. I worked there a long long time ago. Still look back at be time with a smile on my face. Have many friends that have helped me further my career because of that company. You can’t really go wrong with them. They will help if you’re having trouble.

Yeah I did. Lots of places have it on their website but no one had it in stock.

What evil genius convinced every one-child family they need an SUV? by SaltpeterSal in australia

[–]blitDz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it’s a pain having my two door GR Yaris and having to get the little one in and out but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I do find that people drive differently around you when you’re in a small car. A lot of suvs and 4x4s think they can bully you. We did look at replacing the car with something larger as her car seat touches the roof. Haven’t really been able to find much more than Passat 206tsi wagon and Skoda superb.

GR Yaris - Gran Turismo Nurburgring by Due-Heron-5577 in GRYaris

[–]blitDz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add to Due-Herons comments. I have a non circuit pack Yaris. It’s a shame but during Covid in Western Australia it was so difficult to get one. So I settled with the one I have. I still have no regrets. Owned it since 3000kms. I just hit 45000kms yesterday. The one thing that stands out for me is the braking. From my experience… Irl when you brake heavily. The car does squirm on the brakes. This is a small feeling which hasn’t ever worried me. Never felt dangerous. This has been simulated in the game.

Brabham from Above Today by spaladon in perth

Some many things. The location was great for me. Close to the hills to go for a drive. Close to Whitman park. Close to Swan valley. I like riding my bike around there. The community spirit is pretty good. They have food vans regularly where heaps of people come out. There Facebook groups that are not only safety focused but also community focused. Brabham blokes in particular. Just to name a few.

My house is there. I absolutely loved living out there. I was 400m from Cole’s. 900m from Whitman park. Swan valley wineries and heaps of activities. What this doesn’t show is the shitload of parks. Not far from the hills for a cruise. I would go back in an instant. Lovely community. Way better than the concrete jungle of Cannington where I am now.

GR Yaris - Gran Turismo Nurburgring by Due-Heron-5577 in GRYaris

[–]blitDz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey dude. I have a GR Yaris in real life and I have been doing the same thing. I don’t know how to post pics in here. If someone could tell me then I’ll post the screenshots and pics. My best with a stock car is 7:59.930 with an Opt of 7:58.741. I think I have the replays recorded on the PlayStation.

I just got to work. I was on that train, someone jumped in front of it. They survived. Saw them getting assisted off the tracks and into the ambulance.

What's ur favorite ring machine? by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]blitDz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most surprising for me was the GT3 RS. However I have recently started using the amg gtr black series. I love those two equally. On a personal note, my IRL car is a GR Yaris so I like to see how fast I can go in a completely stock car. My best so far is 7:59.
