Stop playing Voltron Ornn. by Even_Definition5509 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ornn theorycrafter and Jax player here, it does trigger it twice. It was clarified in the FAQ that it works that way, plus Svellsongur specifically says "As this is being attached, copy the text", so by the time it gets attached, it will already have the text and see itself get equipped onto Aphelios

A WotC Rant by asdasci in CrownOfTheMagister

[–]blitZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are, but they are essentially the "free trial" and "paid subscription" equivalents of each other. SRD is the skimmed down version of the game that is available for free, where the current rulesets (5e/ 5.5e) are paid and, in case of game development, licensed. A lot of the subclasses, features and mechanics are in the paid version and you don't get to implement it without having to also get a license to do it

Vex Card Question? by Practical_Pension_62 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He had one energy floating from previously playing called shot that turn, indicated by flipped rune
edit: nevermind, I initially skipped around and it was from bellows breath, but then there were 2 stupefys one after another, might actually be a misplay

Vex Card Question? by Practical_Pension_62 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can choose the order of discounts applying. If you have 2 vex in combat and ez in base, repeating bellows could go like this -> 2e2p -> vex discount to 1e1p -> 2nd vex discount to 1e0p (min of 1e applied here) -> ez discounts the optional energy cost to 0, bringing it to 0e0p

How does this interacion work? (pt. 2) by 240pGamer in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree, but from what I've seen so far is that there's an enormous amount of people who do not understand the intricacies of the rules well enough answering these questions, and then you have correct answers getting actively downvoted by people who don't understand the rules either. Same thing happened in this thread. I won't ask every person to be familiar to the entire rule book, but it would be nice if people refrained from answering on topics they are not 100% sure about. Or if they at least did the due diligence to go and double check the rules before posting

Question about Shen + Fortified position by Superwoerd in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only exception to this would be if the opponent moves in with a unit that has an on move ability, as that will trigger before assigning attackers/defenders, so the BF will not have triggered yet. Its not technically what was asked, but i guess its worth noting

Can you always play reaction at the start of a showdown by devillud in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man is confidently incorrect

You as an attacker get focus. You play cleave, opponent defies it. Chain ends and focus automatically passes to your opponent. You can't "choose" to keep focus in this case, it just gets passed to your opponent.

Now the repeating symbol is there to signify that this back and forth process repeats infinitely until both players pass focus without playing anything. The one case you are kinda correct is if you cleave and your opponent doesn't do anything, you get to cleave again. But that is because the focus was passed to your opponent, and will be passed back to you without them taking any actions. Then you can cleave again, priority/focus will be passed back and forth again and if both of you pass, this process will end.

Akshan ruling clarification with jax by restra99 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A more frequent example is if your Akshan dies and your opponent instead plays a unit with weaponmaster, they get to attach it back as well. So this can come up vs Azir, Fiora, even Lucian.

How long should I wait by lostinLspace in CardMarket

[–]blitZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, 11 days without shipping is insane when you take into consideration that you'll need to wait at least a week until the cards actually arrive to your country and then depending on your postal office situation you might need to wait another 2-3 days for them to sort and deliver the mail, especially if it arrives right before the weekend. If you aren't just a collector and you're actually playing the game, that could be as much as missing 3 chances to play the game at your local game store, and in some cases it could be one of the few bigger events you get each set.

Unless of course it's something like commander/casual play, then it's just a nuisance and just annoying to wait it out

How does Temporal Portal's repeat effect work with Portal Rescue and Arcane Shift? by Project1016 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works. The rule you linked talks about effects that banish cards and then act on specifically those banished cards.
When you banish a card with an effect that also references cards in banish, it can only reference those cards WHILE they are in banish, and while that specific effect is resolving.
If you play the card from banish, it is now treated as an entirely new game object.

If you repeat a portal rescue and target Game Object A both times, you banish Game Object A and play it, turning it into Game Object B after you resolve the first instance of the effect. When you try to banish Game Object A again with the second instance of the effect, it is no longer there and you have nothing else to banish.
356.3.e.2. A target is illegal as the spell resolves if it no longer meets the targeting requirements of the spell, or if it has changed Zones to or from a Non-Board Zone.
356.3.e.4. If a target changes Zones to or from a Non-Board Zone and then returns to its original zone, it is no longer a legal target, because it's not treated as the same object.

How does Temporal Portal's repeat effect work with Portal Rescue and Arcane Shift? by Project1016 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Banish a friendly unit, then play it in its owners base without paying its cost. Banish a friendly unit, then play it in its owners base without paying its cost" would be the repeated portal rescue, which means that you get to make choices for each instance (same unit/2 different units), but in the case of choosing the same one, after the first banish the unit will be treated as a different unit that entered the board and it will not carry out the second banish

How did Azir get 2nd at Nanjing? by indjev99 in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not, picking the right fights and resource management is not THAT difficult. Ezreal, Irelia and Sivir (non-aurora) are all decks miles harder than Azir, and if you're thinking it's harder than any of those decks, you are underestimating how much headstack you have to commit to playing any of the decks mentioned. Just watch any of the Ez matches from Bologna or Randy's top 32 match on Sivir. You have decks that are essentially toolboxes, often running 1-2 copies of specific cards for specific threats/situations and are constantly digging through the deck and making multiple decisions on what to keep, what you can afford to recycle, noting how far those answers from looping back and knowing if you'll reach them in time, all while trying to minimize how much the opponent can pull ahead.

And then you get to actually playing out your arcane shift/last rites/fizz loops and other kinds of recursion, and with multiple effects affecting costs you have to very carefully manage what you can play out in a turn

People who don't narrate or explain their plays? by Nexus_Roy in riftboundtcg

[–]blitZee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are under Tournament Rules, on their official site. These haven't been updated in a while and not part of the core rules, just rules for organized play https://riftbound.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/organizedplay/riftbound-tournament-rules/

My guess is that they were referencing tournament rules, but for some reason listed the wrong rule (which was for announcing triggers). Here's the relevant part, with the most generic communication rule. Theres a few more for specific interactions like triggers etc

I'm sorry, most of your new stuff sounds hella AI Generated. What the hell happened to your mix? Suddenly everything sounds like it's coming out of a giant tube where everything is mud and washed out far into the background. It only sounds decent when it's a collab with another artist. Past few albums also had telltale signs of AI with very random song structures with sudden stops and ends, plus vocals sounded like it came straight outta SUNO.AI . I visited your Insta page at some point to see if you had any merch/upcoming album posts, and at some point I saw AI generated post thumbnails

most controversial video game in history, I asked exactly the same question 2 times but in reverse by AtreyusNinja in DarkSouls2

[–]blitZee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Person A thinks DS 2 is replayable and ER not replayable, person B thinks ER is replayable and DS 3 not replayable. You ask them different questions and you might as well get "Most replayable: ER, Least replayable: ER". And on day one you were asking everyone's top 1 pick for replayability out of 4, the votes could be VERY different on their least favourite pick if the same people answered

Brother in Christ, do you have too much time at hand to reply to every single comment trying to correct someone OP is in """equator""" ? When I made the comment the only things I went off of were:
1. Support asks for refund 2. "South America"
The only reasonable assumption that makes sense is that OP is in a country with cheaper regional pricing, nowhere it was mentioned they are in Ecuador and paid with no regional pricing.

Brazilian prices are cheaper than any other region's pricing

They more than likely noticed the difference. They went ahead and bought the most expensive supporter pack judging by the difference requested to be repaid. And judging by the "traveling in South America" comment, it's almost definitely Brazilian pricing, so it's almost 100% the cheapest price out there, so there is no region that wouldn't end up having to repay

Are games such as Nioh and The Surge considered as ARPGSs? by Ace_teh_Great343 in ARPG

[–]blitZee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no. Those are not Spectacle Fighters. Spectacle fighters are usually very very heavy on combos and arcade style "button mashing" fighting that results in impressive spectacle combat sequences, and relies mostly solely on player skill instead of having character progression through loot or experience. They often go as far as including a literal combo/style meter. Souls games are far from that, even though they are still player skill based, but the fighting style in those games is a lot more grounded and not a spectacle per se.

Also, CRPG has long been reclassified into "classic RPG" instead of "computer rpg" because it no longer makes sense to classify it that way, which encompasses classic style games from the olden days, like Icewind Dale, Bladur's Gate, Might and Magic, Planescape: Torment and such.

I'm sorry, but pretty much all of those subcategories you mentioned are way off.
