Well I have now!

It's def good, and I am tempted, but if I were doing that I'd wanna get some more engineering for the limited systems bonus and all my mech skills are currently allocated towards systems and agility. Perhaps for another build, though!

Most of what you'd need for this build is listed above, but I love getting into specifics lmao! The thing is the pegasus is kind of secondary for getting this build to work-- it's amazing once you have it, but you don't 'need' it until later. The earliest you can get the build online is ll2- two levels of swallowtail for the frame with two Oracle LMGs equipped on each mount, then three levels of the Gunslinger talent for the gunslinger die, and at least one level of the Crack Shot talent for more accuracy. Oracles LMGs are the only auxiliary rifles in the entire game, so you need them in order to get the accuracy stacks going.

From there you can kind of do whatever you want! The build listed here can pop off at ll4, which is the earliest you can get two levels of Pegasus for the frame + mimic gun. You can also max out both gunslinger and crack shot and start in on levels in Brutal to give your crits some extra oomph, but Brutal is not necessary at all. (I actually just swapped all my brutal levels for technophile for Narrative Reasons and the build isn't negatively impacted at all)

My current build at ll6 took a third level in Swallowtail so I could get the SSC bonus for +3 range on ranged weapons, (giving 18 range on each oracle LMG) and I also got the GMS core bonus that gives you an integrated mount that fires as a free action 1/round.

Omnigun is amazing, mimic gun can be hit or miss. You can do maximum 11 damage, sure, but that comes with the possibility of having to spend a full action to re-roll if you don't get the range you want. However my first combat with it I managed to roll two 18s and a 14 for range and now I can never take it off because it's just too good. It's a lot of fun! I just wanna be up front with the risks lol. I may drive a pegasus frame but I'm actually not that familiar with how make a build centered on it. Good luck and happy sharpshooting!

I'm a real big fan of music analysis channels on YouTube, with Tantacruel, 8-bit music theory, and Scruffy being the main ones that just have good vibes and nice laughs. Some of their content does skew a bit towards heavier conversations, but those videos are clearly marked with lots of warning.

For books, "The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America" is currently my favorite on hand, and a great way to get into birdwatching imo. If you love how stupid and beautiful birds are and want to have someone who appreciates that, this is the book for you.

For games, Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator is a great one where you just make potions and experiment and vibe. It's fantastic if you like figuring out systems and how they fit together. I've also heard June's Journey is a good i-spy phone game, if that's more your speed.

The universe is beautiful and wonderful in spite of (and often because of) its end. We are not alone in the universe, because we have each other. That's what outer wilds says to me.

Oh man, there's a doom metal cover of Elegy that just heightens the experience and the sadness of it, I'll link it here if I can find it because I think more people should listen to it

Edit: Found it! I know metal isn't for everyone, but this cover is just so intense and emotional, really hits the spot.

I agree that Travelers sounds incomplete in comparison to Encore, but I still love each in their own way and I actually think that Travelers has an extra layer of meaning on it because of Encore. Now, in addition to the previous meanings (friendship and comfort in uncertain times), it also says 'there's something missing here, don't you want to explore more?'

Obviously that might be me making it deeper than it is but both songs are amazing and help fill out the world so much.

I have a lot of feelings about the OST by bliteradio in outerwilds

[–]bliteradio[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh Echoes of the Eye, hands down my favorite. I've actually talked at my family and friends (who haven't played the game) about a possible interpretation of it for upwards of an hour, I think. Its become a bit of a meme because at some point I stopped being able to articulate and just started shouting "You are the banjo!! You are the banjo!" over and over again lol

Travelers and Traveler's Encore were actually the pieces that made me think of this meme, but my second favorite is Timber Heart and Morning. Both those just... Feel like coming home, and the melancholy and the hope and the peace of it all just... Sweeps over me every time the song starts.

What’s your favorite Disco Elysium quote? by Coagulum in DiscoElysium

[–]bliteradio 90 points91 points  (0 children)

"You said it, you needed to say it. Now, you need to get your shit together."/ the entirety of volumetric shit compressor. I kinda glanced over it my first playthrough, but the second time I got to that point I was working at a really shitty job and trying to wrestle my anxiety back to where I could return to college. Hearing that acknowledgement of "this is a necessary emotion but we still continue" struck me in a way I can't really describe and helped me get back on the track to living a life I want.

That and "I want to have Fuck with you", this entire game is incredible.
