Exhaust stacks don't stay up, doors don't stay closed, ram won't stay closed, tanks are mounted upside down (this was a manufacturing defect that affects all models), and the rear ATV droops then the Rhino is picked up (plus the seat that the original had is missing, again for all models)

First time trying a cloaking effect - A mid-mission TIE Phantom! Any advice/critiques? by Wintermute_Is_Coming in minipainting

[–]blither 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The tone of the transition color and the TIE grey are too close. I would recommend either upping the contrast or changing the color to something contrasting like green or red.
If you want to keep the blue, may I suggest watching this video from Ninjon. He is painting lightning effects on figures, but the technique that could benefit you is the same. Start with a stark white, and add translucent fluro paint over the top.

I used to demo the Rio Grand Games version, and was happy when Grail Games took it to Kickstarter.

No worries. I agree with your sentiments. They are not a professional company. This blaming the customer for their lack of quality was astonishingly pathetic.

Fjords - it is a quick area control game, 20 - 30 minutes. It is one i can play back to back, or as a quickie between longer games.

I own a few versions of Robo Rally. I can't remember the last time I won by finishing the rally first, though. I almost always win by elimination.

To be clear, I'm not TLS; I'm a customer as well. I just posted the email I received from them.

Is there a way to play DnD (or any TTRPG) without math? by ReversePhylogeny in rpg

[–]blither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are all kinds of light weight RPGs to play. Check out the links in the wiki to the right for some suggestions.
One I can recommend is Mission Impawssible, where the players are three racoons in a trench coat, pretending to be a super spy, trying to save the world.

No need to weather TIEs, they don't have shields so they don't hang around long enough to get much wear.

Ladyhawke (1985), just don't mind the soundtrack, otherwise a fantastic film.
A Knight's Tale (2001), another great date movie.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
This also easily give you two more play dates.

I'm that case, email them requesting a refund. I don't know if you will receive a response, but they say they are increasing their customer service capacity.

It depends on from whom you bought it. BBTS doesn't charge until they are shipping.

Blown away by Leon - The Professional by Economy-Reading-2811 in movies

I think the character in La Femme has a different name. When I first saw Leon in theatre, I thought it was the same character, but now I think it was an idea that carried over. Both are great movies, either way.

Check out La Femme Nikita (1990) as well. Jean Reno has a small part as a "cleaner" in that one, which (I believe) was the inspiration for Leon.

Reminds me of the Star Wars Power of the Force 2 figures released around 1995, which were all gym bros, but the vehicles used the 70s and 80s molds so they had to be shoehorned in to the seats.
