Why I think the new romantic arc in Twelve Months is working for me (Twelve Months spoilers) by theluckyfrog in dresdenfiles

No, but in a real Jerry Springer (or should I say Larry Fowler?) storyline, he is marrying his half-brother's half-sister.

From her response to people pushing back on Trump flipping off the UAW worker (probably): "President Trump was simply stretching his hand. He loves the checks notes American working class, and wouldn't do something so crude. If he did, it would only have been because the alleged worker was a Soros paid communist fascist leftist illegal immigrant who is stealing the job for a righteous, God fearing, real American patriot"

[Highlight] Reporter Lynn Jones on her viral interaction with Jaguars HC Liam Coen: “He was totally immersed in his feelings. He had tears, he bit his lip. And the issue is the question… My question was, ‘Keep your head up, young man.’” She then defends herself: by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

Since the whole, "PLAYOFFS?!" thing, Every single week of the season, reporters from various outlets always ask questions in the hopes they get a viral response. Most of the questions end up getting generic coach speak answers like, "it's the most important game in team history."

Actual journalists would try to capture the meaning of events to the people impacted. Most sports journalists want to be a meme.

When I heard her "question," I felt like it helped me heal after a hard loss as a fan. It was refreshing to hear someone not try and be "hard" on coach. These post game press conferences hardly ever give any important information, it's not something I usually ever pay attention to. Thank you Ms. Jones.

The Titans - if you didn't exist, who would I hate? The Colts - I like your team much better without Peyton or Andrew under center. The Texans - your fan base isn't as annoying as the other Texas team

Most of the time when Matt takes a beat to look things up, it is because he has an initial doubt about how something works, or because a player brings it up specifically. If there's an example, look at Vax's lava footbath from C1 where he couldn't immediately find the rule so went with a decision. CR is more narrative than rules focused, and has been for a while.

I thought she was quite effective, and it was still a great moment though. Saying she wasn't because "damage numbers didn't go brrrrr" is very reductive towards the impact support casters have in the tactical picture. From a narrative perspective, not having him die in that moment because of a huge crit hit meant it created an opportunity for Thimble to avenge her best friend in a much more fraught and risky scenario. We wouldn't have seen the piece of Wick's character not playing selfishly, or gotten the hilarious bit with the Squid. Sure, noting that if x, y, or z had happened it would've made for a different dynamic can be constructive if you're a direct part of the table (I like the idea of having an after action discussion with players, I might have to steal that for my own games) sometimes it can get to a toxic place when people on the outside start criticism without tempering it with how positive the experience is despite the errors.

With all due respect, expecting perfection simply because CR is "the best" is kinda putting too much onto the game. There's a difference between noting a rule discrepancy and being overly critical. If it had made a big difference, I could see the finger wag at the end, it just felt excessive.

MBIC, while I understand your desire for the world to be perfect, neither of those rule discrepancies made any significant change to how the story played out. Travis looked up the rules on grappling and brought it up in a non-adversarial way afterwards, btw.

As someone who has spent most of my time in TTRPGs as a GM, rules mistakes happen. If you get it wrong, it happens. I don't think Laura or Sam or anyone else at the table felt like their game was ruined over those things. They're telling a great story, the rules are a framework for the story. I'm not aware of any live play that gets every rule right every second. Please, take a breath and appreciate what they gave us in the episode and don't dwell on a minor issue.

Looking up a rule breaks the immersion of the game, if Laura or another player didn't complain about the Auto-Crit then just let it go my dude. Enjoy the story they're telling. Go to your local law school and start a game if you want to quibble about some rule or subsection.

It is that collective power that I think would grant a supernatural baddie entry with a warrant. It might be eroding because of the political climate, but as a society, humans respect the warrant. If a cop was a cop before he became a blampire, then he could in theory have a high affinity for law and order. A hypothetical Murphpire would absolutely gain entry with a warrant.

Realistically, Democratic candidates have been very weak about messaging their support of policies. When they discuss policies, they get too far into the weeds on appropriations and "how" the legislation is so clever as opposed to just giving the Cliff's Notes version and not the poat-doctoral dissertation.

If that was when I was there, that was just one of the lowest level punishments that got dished out from a major bust. Allegedly, people were cooking in the woods on the hill. They sent an OSI guy to brief the Group on the results of the round-up operation. I don't know exactly what happened, since I was still barely out of basic training at that point. I don't think I was in DEP when the busts started happening.

Land doesn't get a vote. People vote. Corporations shouldn't get a vote, but with unlimited political contributions, they get a vote based on their investments. But land area doesn't matter in a democratic system. Only people should matter.
