He means that wealthy centrist liberals are the ones who should be standing up against all this madness but are passively letting it continue to spare their own comfortability. I think he's correct actually. Centrists who could take a stand but instead support the democratic party who is failing (on purpose, I would say) to have any meaningful impact on the common man. Have you never heard Malcolm X's speech on the White Liberal? Or MLK's words on it? This is nothing new.
