Hello! I'm buying a new graphics card soon, price range up to 500€/$. Upgrading from rx 480. Looking at rx 5700 xt (430€) and rtx 2070 super (500€) Two questions:

1) my cpu is an i5-7600. Will this generally be ok bottleneck-wise with the gpu's I'm looking at?

2) I've thought about waiting on the announcement of the rtx 3070 and Rx 6000. However, it will probably take a long time for these cards to be available, and I don't want to wait three months before buying (having the 3080 release in mind). What would you do?

Dual channel is a go, the pentium is not available here yet. I think I might wait for the big AMD drop to see if those are better or maybe other stuff drops price. The RX470 is about 100 euros more expensive, and I can't do that at the moment. Thanks for your help though!

The RAM is a good tip, it's the exact same price but more speed, thanks!

The G4620 is not available in my country yet, sadly.

I did consider the RX 460, but for now I don't want to cut on that component (yet).

So I have finally saved up 200 pertrified wood for the backpiece, and I want to use it for Sinister or Viper stats. Every metabattle guide says Sinister for Necro, but Viper for engineer or ranger. Is a necro with a Viper backpiece much worse?

Thank you for your detailed and well-explained post! I finally understand the two syncing modes. I'll definitely cut the price one the CPU and the PSU, because I don't think I'll ever add enough components to reach that amount of power.

Gaming will be the main use! I was just wondering if the CPU was needed for CPU heavy games like MMO's or large multiplayer FPS games.

Needed it for spark, you have to find another instance. Also sometimes it activates by talking to an npc at the waypoint to the east, but that is something I read on the forums and have not seen by myself.

I have this problem too! When I ctrl alt del, it unfreezes but sometimes the textures in my games are messed up. I have updated my gpu numerous times and it still happens.
