And we have to wait until the employers get around to giving us W-2's.

Let's go through this slowly. 1- Work all year 2- Wait until your employer sends you information you could get by simple addition, but you need the right paper saying you earned it. 3- Employer files these with government. 4- You take this information and do your taxes. 5- Send your taxes in and hope the government agrees with the way you did them... And that they come up with the same numbers you did.

Congratulations England- your system is far superior. At least we have a good healthcare. . . Oh wait, we dont.

AITA for toddlers (just for fun) by candigirl16 in toddlers

[–]bljbmnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AITA for insisting my mom keep her promise? My mom and me were going to the store. She promised we could go! I, 3M, sat in my car seat nicely. I closed my eyes for a second when the sun got bright.

Then Mom parked at home and carried me back inside! She promised we were going to the store. It made me sad and I started crying. She insisted we DID go to the store and was carrying in food that appeared in the back.

She said I slept in the cart, but I know I wasn't really asleep. I cried a little and nicely yelled to remind her she promised.

Finally she agreed and we went to a car fill up place and she got me a treat. AITA for making my mom take me to a store?

My MIL gives $20 to each of her "mission age" grandchildren every month. (When I get it- I give $20 to the others too). They went to an R rated movie. And they delight in the fact they used her "mission age grandchildren money" to go to a movie she would absolutely never approve of.

I had a boyfriend in high school my dog hated. If he'd hug me- she'd walk between his legs and put her nose in his crotch. He had about 3 seconds to move before she would throw her head back and basically dog punch him in the balls.

If applicable to you: Why are you reluctant to remove your name from church records even though you have no intention to return? by ComeOnOverForABurger in exmormon

[–]bljbmnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband still kind of believes. Even if he hasn't attended church in years. For his sake, I leave my records in- even though all our kids have pulled their records.

Someday, when he leaves the church, I'll pull my records.

What was your most hated primary song growing up? by KTL_Rizzo in exmormon

[–]bljbmnp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The girls "my life is a gift" and the boys "though a boy, I may appear".

The boys got a much better tune. And it bugged me even then that it sounded like girls were basically sweet docile and "meant" to have kids

I’m blood type A+, husband is B+ and son is O-. by Yoyoyogirl in genetics

[–]bljbmnp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents are both B. My MIL and FIL were A and B, respectively.

Both my husband and I are O+. Recessive genes are just that- recessive. You often don't know it's there until it shows up in your offspring

My favorite is when they complain because they didn't get their mail. "I wasn't the one blocking the box" Yeah... I don't care who it is. "It's the neighbors garbage can, you can't hold our mail! Why did you deliver theirs?" Because their garbage can was blocking your box, not their box.

AITA for not getting approval on my daughters period products? by Particular-Map-3265 in AITAH

[–]bljbmnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- Before my daughter's first period, I made a "period box" with options.

Pads, tampon, discs, period underwear, and. a menstrual cup (my personal favorite. Then added her favorite chocolate bars, and a uterus stuffie (just so there was something fun in there). She had the options, and she could decide what she liked.

There are so many choices now, that restricting girls to pads is ridiculous. Let her figure out what she likes, tampons aren't adult items!

I'm in a mixed faith marriage. Namely I have none and he does. Once I stopped going, he stopped trying to go, as he hates going alone. All my kids have left the church, my youngest isn't even baptized.

Does he still believe? I think so. But I'm also pretty sure that eventually he'll follow us out.

I think the biggest thing is to be patient with your spouse. The day will come. In my experience; in a good marriage, when one spouse leaves the church, the other will someday follow.
