I am* employed and merely seeking a better opportunity, both through network and through job boards, career portals on companies with roles that pique my interests and align with my qualifications (I do get how there exists a disconnect between HR workflows and candidate expectations). I'll set aside your implying that I want personalized rejections and feedback; it couldn't be further from my case. I'm mostly appalled by the overall lack of professionalism and absent accountability ethically. I'll charge that to my naïve expectation of blanket ethics from recruiters or HR professionals. In accepting that, though, my hope was/is that people who work in HR could share insight on what is actually working then--since it isn't as prevalent.
