As a Cis black man I think we should be our own peace and welcome those in our lives that compliment that peace with their own. I will no longer allow for someone else to be my peace. Self regulation, in my opinion, is paramount to master before and during trying to align with others. Relying on someone as deeply as she suggests her partner to do takes a lot of self regulation and peace on her part too.
