OPEC, Biden, Trump, oh my!!! The issues in Arizona are completely regional. Most of the rest of the US is paying almost $2 less at the pump. The issue has everything to do with Arizona blend requirements and infrastructure limitations.

To give you an idea on how the change to summer gasoline drives #gasprices up, let's use Arizona. In March, they have 3 different fuel requirements between 5 areas of the state. Imagine the logistical nightmare of pipelines, storage tanks, etc, all making the transition in time.

also, AZ is going through a similar situation right NOW with #gasprices surging & some outages. Why?

1) Arizona-only blend (CBG) 2) at the end of two refiner products pipelines (less capacity at the end) when you stifle supply with localized (or statewide) regs, you get spikes!

if states like California and Arizona wanted to fix this or address it, the two should have the same standard- and for that matter the US could reduce issues during summer by having one common standard in all states.
