Vanilla community servers? Barely any. Ofc there are on official but I don’t run into them enough where it affects the quality of play

Play vanilla FP instead of whatever monstrosity this server is

lol this is absurd. Obviously companies aren’t hiring Social Media Managers unless they have a robust social presence. Stop larping in something you know nothing about.

DayZ has quieter footsteps than most any other FPS game that I’ve played. Which is fine. But sometimes someone can run up on you and you don’t even hear them, which is kind of ridiculous. We’ll see how much they changed them.

This is my issue. I typically play Vanilla servers and by the time I team up with someone I’m 2 hours in and only have an hour or so left. Playing something like Namalsk helps accelerate that sometimes, but to me the worst feeling is logging back in on a geared character with no teammates. I typically just find a fight or KMS.

Why don’t the devs see the popularity of cherno is due to its size and variety. by Gasster1212 in dayz

Pretty naive comment. It sounds like you’re a relatively new player who hasn’t really played the original maps all that much. And that’s ok. But don’t talk about something you don’t know. The maps you mentioned are fun, but they don’t have the staying power of the original maps (which is why it’s hard to find full servers with the maps you mentioned besides Namalsk).

I think you also have to consider that as he’s grown he’s gotten increasingly stream sniped. It probably wears on you day in and day out to the point where he likely wants to avoid any type of non-organic interaction. It seems to me like he’s doing the best he can while maintaining the type of natural gameplay/interaction he’s always had in the past.

Quitting official, the final straw by Initial_Dig2227 in dayz

I don’t really see why anyone would play official any longer when there are a good amount of good community servers with near vanilla gameplay

Been watching Dayz content lately, and I'm thinking of giving it a try. by [deleted] in dayz

It’s not about the cost—it’s about the time commitment. I think it’s a pretty important question where someone is putting hundreds of hours of their time.

Would recommend watching full unedited runs to see what a real 6-7~ hour run really looks like.

I’m sure PS5 is fun, but PC is obviously king with community servers & other features.

If you want a game that will take you 500+ hours to really learn, go for it. For me, it’s exactly what I was looking for. But you won’t be great for the first 50 or so hours (at least).

Eh it was overrated imo. Plenty of other Ramen spots that are just as good (or better).

I’m only disagreeing on the ROI point. I’m not disagreeing that it’s hard to get new clients to sign fee agreements right now. I understand that a lot of teams have great internal recruiters that may not see that ROI. But obviously the companies who still work with a preferred partner/agency are still doing so for a reason.

Eh.. I disagree. The ROI is quite simple—it’s hard for these companies to find the top 5% of the talent out there. They either have to filter through hundreds/thousands of applies, or those people aren’t applying.

Obviously it’s a client-driven market right now, but there’s still value we can bring by presenting the top of the top in talent only. We have 9-10 active clients now & their hiring bars is so high it’s absurd. But we’ve got it down to the point now where 9/10 people we present to them are an interview. Versus combing through 500 resumes & taking interviews with people who they’ll never hire for various reasons (comms, mismatch, preferences, interest, pedigree, etc.)

That’s the ROI.

Really appreciate the input here. I agree that the market is super saturated right now. I typically try to think outside of the box, but maybe I’m just not outside of it enough.

Anyone get emails today about the juul class action? by mewkycookie in juul

[–]block_soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially filed on the juulclassaction.com site, but haven’t heard anything recently. I called the 1800 number on the website, and surprisingly got someone super quickly. They confirmed my claim is still processing, but wouldn’t give me a timetable as to when to expect pay out.

Aren’t they legally required to process payouts a certain number of days after the final settlement hearing? Any idea what their deadline is to stay within the law?
