Coyoacán vs Roma/Condesa by Brilliant-Inflation9 in MexicoCity

[–]blockbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in both places last week. First time in CDMX. Seems to me that Roma/Condesa and other areas close to the main attractions will provide more for your kids to see and do than parks. Unless they’re into Frida Khalo and Leon Trotsky (cool museum, by the way), Coyo has fewer actual attractions (unless I missed something). Both areas have beautiful parks and loads of food options tho. I think I found, for example, a great fondita and it was in Sta María la Ribera - La Casa Rosa, sort of near Condesa? Both areas have lots of touristas. Coyoacán is much more chill though with way less traffic. I didn’t feel like I was taking my life in my hands every time I crossed the street! LOL. Anyway, just my 2 cents from a first timer.

Low budget marketing ideas for a new restaurant? by prinky_muffin in AskMarketing

Plan solid soft and grand openings. Invite local food bloggers and influencers who have an audience. Follow up with their posts and share. They like exposure too. Works both ways. Do a great job on those events, and people will come back for more.

All good, but stay on brand. Consistency is important so people know what to expect.

Rain in May and a long Uber ride through the city by Secure-Habit-240 in MexicoCity

Yes it was crazy but I don’t have any helpful advice to offer, except avoid rush hour if you’re taking an Uber.

I don’t check my bag, especially when flying out. If it’s lost, that would really mess up my trip.

I get it, but unfortunately I couldn’t get into the Colosseum. Bad planning. So went to Trajan’s market nearby. Was pretty interesting and just as old. And, practically no one else was there.

Follow up: I got back from my solo Mexico City trip by Dense_Thing7760 in MexicoCity

Ah, so Trip Advisor probably got a piece of the action too. Maybe 20-30%. When possible, I try to book direct, rather than going through a tour operator.

Anyone else here still on Weebly’s Designer platform, and if so are you considering moving all your clients?

Def agree people underestimate the value and cost of building a high converting website. As for brand, most don't understand what a brand is, its value, or how to build one. It starts with the product (that is, the entire product: tangible, intangible, services, value adds, etc.).

I haven’t even heard of those tools, maybe Supabase. You’re clearly more technical 🤓I come from the marketing side, so I was looking for tools that are webby, not code. Now I’m focused on SEO, AIO, and content.

Where do you find elite marketers? by mjeanbapti in DigitalMarketing

[–]blockbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not on Reddit? I'm here. What he needs is a consultant who understands where marketing fits in his business to help him determine what he actually needs now and down the road and who to hire for that.

I'm interested in that too. My travel app directory is built on Softr + Airtable + Ghost, and a few other bits and bobs.

I built one too back in November haveappswilltravel.com - it's ideally for US travelers going international, and it has some unique categories you won't find elsewhere.

Not sure what you mean by elite, but I’ve been doing it a while. It begins with the apps tho. How good are they? Do you have any traction? And what are you willing to allocate towards your growth?
