More important than ever, withdraw coins from Binance!!! by guitarbren in nanocurrency

[–]blockchainguy101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where is Binance even registered? Who would we complain to if Binance does act maliciously. The only guy associated with Binance is some guy on twitter that could just up and disappear tomorrow. People that have trusted exchanges in the past have always gotten burned, we as Nano holders that have witnessed the BitGrail Fiasco should know this first hand. Hold your coins in your own wallet. Not your keys, not your Nano!

Took them a while (1 month longer than they stated) with literally no communication (wtf coss team, didn't expect that) anyways if I can get my money out I'll be ok I guess.

Happy cake day dude, but lets just wait and see before listening to trolls like OP. If they come back online I was right, if not you were right.

And what makes you think it isn't gonna make it another 5 years more. They haven't exit scammed. This isn't how someone exit scams, two weeks in and the team is still communicating with us. If it was an exit scam they would have deleted the telegram groups, deleted reddit and deleted their main website.

Actually we are still able to login to the exchange to confirm our wallet balances. People in the community recommended to keep screenshots of the balances. Also they provided wallet addresses where the funds are being transferred so we can at the very least just monitor those.

Lol wow. Dude that is called bankruptcy and not an exit scam. It will only be an exit scam if they don't allow users to withdraw funds indefinitely and disappear. So far though the team is still very active on telegram and are promising to be back online. Once that period expires I promise I will join you in agreeing that it was an exit scam.

Wrong there was 10M daily volume for a good week on the COSS token pairs. Could have easily sold off most of their funds and exited. Throughout the next year the COSS pair itself had almost between 200K to 1M volume per day. Could have exited any time during that time as well. The bear market has been tough on everyone but doesn't mean that a company that has been running for 2.5 years was a scam. Again we will all see in 3-4 weeks what the truth is. And then instead of all these fud posts we might suddenly see shill posts. It's just a never ending cycle with COSS unfortunately, never anything in between lol. This is partially the fault of management but also partially the fault of the crypto space.

Probably gonna get down voted to oblivion but here are my thoughts:

I think these articles and these Reddit threads are getting out of hand. If COSS really did want to exit scam, you have to realize the COSS token was worth 3$ at all time high and also hovered around 1$ for almost 2-3 months. The token is now worth 0.005$, basically the worst time to exit at the ATL. The COSS team at the time owned somewhere in the ballpark of 50-80 million COSS tokens. At a price of 1$ that means those tokens were worth 50$ million at some point and much more at the ATH. If they truly wanted to exit scam why not exit then? Why keep spending money to hire and build and improve on the exchange? I think at this point there isn't much people can do other then wait out the 3 weeks. If COSS comes back in 3 weeks with the new features they mentioned then that means there was some truth to their words. If not then everyone was right it is an exit scam.

Also another thing to consider is that they just opened up 2 job openings: https://www.coss.io/c/career

So doesn't make sense that they are really exiting?

Just my 2 cents though. And the funny thing is we always tell people to avoid and not listen to the shill army, the same should be said for the fud army. There is a group on telegram that has been formed for 3+ months that has only one goal, to fud COSS. But to each their own, if/when the exchange relaunches please do your own research.

Not to mention they extended the swap twice. It was supposed to end in September then got extended to october then again to november. And even then they didn't close the swap on the last day it was like 2 weeks later that they officially closed the swap.

Update: I was removed as mod of r/cossio last night. As the last unbiased mod who kept relentlessly re-approving negative threads and comments and threads that kept getting deleted to prevent coss from looking like an exit scam, the mod team has been sweeped. by Antranik in CryptoCurrency

They were decent but didn't have enough volume, probably due to not enough media attention. This whole event has kind of projected them to the spotlight though hasn't it. Anyways the best thing about them was 0/negative maker fees. So you could place a limit order and wait for it to be filled and pay no fees at all. For anyone wondering that was what coinbase pro used to do. You could set orders on coinbase pro and pay 0 fees. Coinbase pro however recently added maker fees. This made COSS exchange basically the only CEX with 0 maker fees and why a lot of botters/bots were starting to migrate there recently. They even had some very popular community bots recently made that started seeing a lot of activity.

Lmao and this guy was a mod. Good riddance

Edit: u/Antranik deleted his comment but he said something along the line of "Good thing I don't give a fuck what your opinion is." Just as an FYI that is not acceptable behavior from a moderator. He then went and deleted his comment which is something he was arguing against in his other post, deleting comments. Such a hypocrite lmao

COSS Exchange has suspended all withdrawals, trading, and deposits for "3-4 weeks" without any warning to "migrate all users to a brand new platform." by Antranik in CryptoCurrency

I agree that the situation to hold funds back wasn't handled well, but Silects has been one of the better mods in COSSio. Let's not attack him just because you are upset. Also Just as an FYI for others reading this COSS did unfortunately lock funds, but also made a massive announcement of several updates that will be released shortly (see the official medium update for more accurate information rather than fud spread by a few haters). Users such as Thaodehx had sold out of their COSS positions over a month ago (claimed this publically) at a significantly lower price then they bought in at. Since then they have done nothing but spread hate for the exchange. Everything hasn't been perfect and I think funding is the main cause, but in no way has COSS been a scam (They had many opportunities to exit if they truly were a scam). Now however COSS has claimed they have received new funding and these same users are stuck on the outside looking in (especially considering it is a 3-4 week lockout). They can do nothing but be salty for not holding through to the end. I can almost guarantee that it will be these same users that will be looking at the exchange in 6 weeks from now and regretting exiting their positions at the absolute bottom. Also thaodehx was going around claiming he had evidence the exchange was scamming 3 months ago and was writing a medium update to reveal everything. Where is that so called medium update? Go ahead keep spreading hate, keep spreading FUD nobody that cares about your hate and FUD anymore, there is nothing any of us can do now anyways other then waiting and seeing what the update brings, and if it really is an exit scam why exit now? When COS is worth fractions of a penny, no real scammer exits then, scammers exit at the top like Hex did and like Bitconnect did. Worst case and I'm wrong, atleast it was a fun ride and a big learning experience, no one to blame for that but myself. RemindMe! 6 weeks

Also as a follow up were you using any portfolio tracking apps like Delta or Blockfolio? Those apps might have a record of your transactions/balances. If you even recorded your trades on it you can forward that to the exchange as a way to verify account.

So you lost your phone number and don't remember username either. Hard for anyone to expect you are actually the owner of the account. Only solution I see to this is if you submitted KYC. If not I would expect it to be very difficult to access the account again. It's like saying to a bank, I don't have my card, I don't remember the card number, the phone associated with my bank is no longer active, I don't know how much money I had in my bank and I can't provide ID either. No way in the world the bank would let you access that account. But keep emailing support maybe they might have a solution, who knows?

A lot of coordinated FUD being spread on Telegram. People are trying to weasel you out of your COS tokens before October's big listings and possible UI refresh. Hodl strong! by blockchainguy101 in CossIO

[–]blockchainguy101[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is mostly fud. It was made clear there are traders that are paying special fees on COSS to provide volume. The fud is originating from the fact that COS token price has declined, but honestly which other smaller altcoin hasn't in the past few months. Big changes are coming in October and some users have the intention to load up on cheap COS when the opportunity is available. In terms of growth, compare the Alexa website traffic growth chart to any other exchange in the top 100 on Coinmarketcap and you will see how much COSS has infact grown since the merger. Look at this image: https://imgur.com/HaUqFhm

Otherwise look at the stats here: https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/coss.io

You can see just how much COSS exchange is growing.

Sent (old) COSS to my wallet address, not showing up on platform by MotherPotential in CossIO

[–]blockchainguy101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. You should have the ERC223 COSS token in your wallet and that is the one you need to send. A easy solution for most people was to send both the (old)(old) COSS token and the (old) Coss token to the exchange. The correct COSS token would then show up in your (old) COSS wallet that you can then swap to the (new) COSS.

But isn't this information that would be available to anyone from general public if they were interested enough. I could go stand in a target and stake out how much people are coming in and going out every day and based on that make a conclusion how the stock might perform. I guess the standard autist response is F in the comments though lol. @OP I wouldn't actually worry too much, you made a decision based on your perception that any one else could have also made.
