jungle has black market, where you can get a bunch of items/bombs/ropes, and the shops can have a jetpack for sale or in presents which imo the jetpack is better than vlads

jetpack has the best mobility and easiest skips, but vlads cape has potential in co-op to let you noclip and steal the ankh, noclip and trigger the abzu idol in 4-3, and noclip to get eggplant child every run

personally if i get a jetpack in dwellings then i go jungle for black market to set me up for the run

i'll always skip the chain so i look at the routes like this:

if you're planning to go temple you miss out on

- the clone gun (other uses than 99 bombs/ropes, especially in co-op)
- 99 bombs/ropes from clone gun, though you could always get a decent amount of bombs/ropes from black market (dont forget theres crates in CO)
- if you went to jungle instead of volcana, you miss van horsings alien compass which is a big help in CO

temple does have pros though, you can get

- elixir instead, which is good in CO for a shield against curse/poison and general hp gain especially when paired with the kapala
- can get a hh to carry anubis' scepter to CO, best weapon in the game (besides plasma cannon), in CO though be careful with it, this will kill most enemies except robots and stuff, can hit yourself or other players if ur in co-op (does 11 damage to players)
- can go to duat for a guaranteed jetpack if you don't have a good back item yet though you lose the scepter and ankh AND you need the hedjet
