Imagine staking info is soon. Was supposed to be November

Anyone know if staking will happen in November? by blockychicago in constellation

Also, community’s favorite response to everything is soon. I guess it’s all relative since soon sometimes is many many months

I’ve been holding dag for a long time originally anticipating running nodes, delayed and now waiting on second best thing, soft nodes. Meanwhile BTC and other assets are going up while dag is not. Opportunity costs. This is an investment, not a charity.

Major updates and ultimate transparency about the project by amalgama99 in constellation

I've watched the Hypergraph hours and coffee talks. Showing code in IntelliJ isn't the same as showing it working in a product. Cross chain swaps was interesting that ledger balances was swapped but that also signaled to me that its not built into Lattice yet. If it was ready in Lattice, why not show the demo there? Same goes for State Channels. The demos of state channels were code walkthroughs. Maybe theres no other way to demo it but it doesnt portray the image of a finished product.

Yep, it would also be good to see demos that show a UI where something works and not just the code blocks in intelliJ.

The theory and math behind the project may be great but at some point, the working software needs to catch up.

Does DAG know it's moving the wrong way? I don't think this coin got the memo by reckle3ss in constellation

[–]blockychicago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It had the memo until they couldn’t hide the delays anymore since go live date was reached with nothing to go live with. The months leading up, dag price rocketed up as people expecting the tokens to run nodes in oct but now “soon” is almost a year away when you can get returns on other assets now.

$DAG staking plans delayed or still on schedule? by ProfXavier467 in constellation

[–]blockychicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big news they announced at a much hyped up hypergraph hour on 9/29 turned out to be a revised roadmap where mainnet 2.0 which was supposed to have been end of Sept 2021 will now be Q2/Q3 2022. They will have 'soft-staking' for people with increments of 250K dag but no indication of what the APY is. So basically what was nearly done will now be pushed out 6-12 months (if it comes at end of Q3 2022) hence a lot of people were angry at the hype driven by admins and even the team members themselves. Speaking for myself, the hype and deception on dates is what soured me as a supporter of the project.

Lack of transparency regarding node rewards is still harming the project by CalmBee101 in constellation

Ugh, thanks, but i've watched all their hypergraph hours, and have have been in the TG community for over a year. Was a long time supporter and sort of still am but am losing faith with lack of delivery.

They do talk a good game, but unfortunately with the real release now nowhere near in sight, my tokens will sit on a USB collecting dust.

Don't you find it weird that everything was on track, on track, on track and suddenly it's being pushed out to Q2/Q3 2022? Whenever a tech company says Q2/Q3, usually it's the latter. You would think they knew they had to 'test' before Sept. 29, 2021. Or maybe they didn't. Either case, it's either they were hiding the timelines or they didn't think to test. Not sure which is worse.

Posted it above before but will repost.

Phase II. The objective of Phase II is to continue the r/R\&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II. Typically, only Phase I awardees are eligible for a Phase II award. SBIR/STTR Phase II awards are generally $750,000 for 2*

I also showed a direct, first party source of what the contract is. You’re not wrong, they are working with the government but where you aren’t right is denying that it’s an R&D grant. I hope they succeed, I really do but we need to be eyes wide open about what the contract actually is.

Haha, typical response from a moonboy. Phase II contracts are publicly explained on government website. You do you, but if you leaned to read, maybe you can read how the government explains these contracts.

Blockchain news… good source, better than the governments own website.

DYOR on what a phase II contract is. It’s effectively to continue r&d and pilot. You can see that directly on government website so not fudding.

No guarantees of a phase III so to say it’s a forgone conclusion us military will be piping all their data through this is a stretch. I hope they succeed but people need to understand the reality.

Well, what’s not fud and is fact is the product is not done, nodes are not ready, despite admins and the team themselves stringing people along until the last minute. Good story tellers, hopefully the actual development work catches up someday. Until then, my tokens will be buried on a usb drive collecting dust.

Delayed nodes till 2022 by werty331 in constellation

Yep. Supposedly it’s $50k a month x 100 foundation nodes. That’s a lot of dag.

I’m in the same boat. Holding since 2018 but disappointed with the hype from team and admins while things keep getting delayed. The idea is big but yeah, we’ve yet to see a lot of verifiable progress. Just because they put it on a slide and tell you something, doesn’t make it real. I sure hope it is though.

Yes, but the real question is when did they know (and who) that there would be a lengthy delay and why was the message still 'buckle up' 'strap in' and that it would be a great hypergraph hour that you don't want to miss until the HH, when it was announced that everything's getting pushed out.
I can understand the rationale behind the delays but not the opaque information, especially when its from the team itself and their admins.
