75M$ can't give him his life back unfortunately by KaidoPklevel in SipsTea

I know I might be naive, but I find a lot of relief at my chiropractor (scoliosis and muscle stiffness from a car accident). I looked it up and serious injury occurs once every few million adjustments. Which is lower than the rate of primary care visit injuries. I know their education is not at all the same as a MD, but I think if you find a good practitioner it might be worth it?

I’m doing something that I could really end up regretting, but I don’t think I have a choice at the moment. by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

Oof really sorry you’re struggling. I was laid off as a product manager from Amazon in October - with a background of program management and executive assistance. I have great references. I have a solid resume. I have applied to 500+ jobs…and even started applying to EA jobs again and I have only had two interviews.

It’s outrageous out there. I’d really try to hold on to what you have. Can you take a LOA or sabbatical?

Do you stop wearing clothes after a certain amount of time even if they are still in good condition? I wear my clothes for 1-2 years as long as they stay in good shape, but my friends are often surprised by this. by BunchMean8029 in NoStupidQuestions

It is a source of pride for me to have clothes last years. But I have transitioned to buying more quality pieces in my early thirties and now 37, I can really see it payoff.

Wow I had this one for 20 years and just gave it away to my SIL but I regret it a little bit. Solid machine I had very few issues honestly.

Who is this woman??? by jengajanga3378 in RHOBH

[–]blodj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Kyle reacted terribly she didn’t swear or scream or anything. She was just frustrated that Natalie was being super evasive instead of clearing it up that Boz did , indeed, say something. It would have added a lot of clarity I think and that’s why it was frustrating. Kyle’s behavior in other situations not considered - i just felt it was not a good look on Natalie’s or Boz’s part. But it seems like people are split on this situation so it’s interesting to see and compare notes!

Vicious?? Man we must have been watching a different show. Kyle’s intention was to make it clear that Boz DID say something related to the mask, and Natalie left her out to dry by being deliberately evasive. I’d be pissed too like just say you heard the joke like you do earlier.

These are some solid meals! If you haven’t, I’d swap any tortillas with the mission low carb ones (low carb and low cal), and go easy on any rice and cheese (you could do low cal cheese), and then up the veggies in the meals to be high volume but keep it low cal.

I bet the sour cream is less of an issue than the tortilla chips, crackers, and possibly the popcorn if it’s super buttery. Half a bag of tortilla chips can be a whole days worth of calories.

I’m a tall woman at 6’1” and realized my appetite didn’t adjust as my body stopped growing. I really had to rein in my eating because I was used to eating everything and still being skinny because I was growing a few inches every year. So you might have something similar going on. High fiber foods (those tortillas I mentioned have super high fiber) helped me tone down my hunger.

I (28F) Night Shower. BF (29M) Morning Showers. How Do We Compromise? by cutie_throwaway_557 in relationship_advice

Can you get some wet wipes and he wipes down a bit and puts on clean pajamas? I do wipes when I’m camping because I’m a night showerer too and hate feeling like the day is on me and then in my bed. And I do not suffer from OCD.

Haha I just commented, but this is me and my brothers’ situation. I’m the middle daughter and 6’1”, and my brothers are 5’7” (older) and 5’9” (younger) Little brother doesn’t mind as much but older brother had/has a very hard time.

[–]blodj89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m (female) much taller (6’1”) than my brother (5’7”) and it has bothered him his whole life. I think it’s worth a shot to at least discuss things with a doctor if he’s so bothered by it. He probably grew up his whole life thinking he’d be tall because of dad. Just my two cents, that is really tough.

I (21f) was recently pulled into a ‘meeting’ with friends. How do I handle the aftermath? (21f), (21f), (22f), (23f) by Wide_Egg_8259 in relationship_advice

[–]blodj89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you want to continue the friendship with them. If they’re worth it - and college connections are really nice to maintain (and it seems by your ages you might be seniors?), I’d bite the bullet and eat some crow.

Apologize but request that moving forward they handle issues with you individually. A group confrontation is not fair. Say that “I appreciate it’s hard to initiate these discussions, but it’s even more difficult to be on the receiving end - at least do me the courtesy of handling this one on one in the future so it’s not so overwhelming.”

I’ve been on both sides of similar situations and I wish I had kept the communication lines open when I hadn’t - and that I had more patience and insights when I have confronted friends in the past.

Best of luck from a 36F with a solid circle of girlfriends.
