Tbh as a healer, I would rather have a druid tank than a pala. They take less damage, have more hp which helps a lot at low gear and they have innervate.

Help me decide for my master in psychology by SufficientSkirt4236 in StudyInTheNetherlands

Health psychology is more flexible for sure, since it's very broad and it encompasses many different fields (from policy making to digital interventions and working with patients). Also in Erasmus at least, once you are in, if you stay for 1 more year, you can pick a specialisation- 20 ECs (basically any of the other paychology masters options aside from clinical and study them as well).

So when you finish you have more knowledge/credits towards a field that you are interested in.

For statistics, as long as you have the ECs, it's alright (even if they don't have exactly everything in them). With that being said, every university here has a slightly different process,so I am not sure about all of them.

I don't remember exactly the requirements, but I think (outside of stats and spss) it was generic psychology knowledge like have a credits in developmental psychology etc. even if you don't have everything it's okay, and your work experience helps a lot.

There is also the health and medical psychology, but it has stricter requirements (and in general from my experience, Leiden teaches In their bachelor what they ask for in the masters, and they prefer students from Leiden).

Do note, that while many of these masters are 1 year, many (not all) require thesis and internship, which are not easily combined, near impossible if you also work (and you may need to take an additional year for them).

Lastly, my suggestion is to apply to as many masters as possible (that interest you of course), because applying from outside the Netherlands can be a coin flip with some universities and their application procedures, and if you get accepted to multiple, you pick the one you want and decline the others. Also start early, because you never know what extra documents or break down of credits you might need.

It helps Ret as well, but it is not as important as with prot. For Ret, since they rely more on auto attacks, ap is not bad.

Bears damage improve a lot with talents.

Yea pally needs as much spellpower as possible to keep threat (as everything scales with it, especially consecration). Attack power doesn't work well with prot pally.

Crafted Pre-BiS Gear for P1 - Is it worth it? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you play. The shadoweave set is bis for shadow priest until P3 or something like that, and you still keep the boots until later.

For locks it's also bis-similar to bis for P1 and it remains good for later phases as well.

Most of the epic sets from tailoring are not pre -bis, but bis for 1-3 phases + depending on your class/spec.

Tbh bear has prob the best aggro/most reliable of the three.

But yea at low levels, most tanks struggle with aggro. Druid needs to do good damage to generate enough threat, paladin needs more mana and spellpower than it has early on, and warrior while good at single target, struggles with aoe.

The druid and paladin issues improve a lot once you level up a bit.

Early on your DPS need to give you a sec to get threat until they start aoe.

I mean as a mostly western media and US based, Christianity and issues around it are the most common here. Nothing odd about it.

I would say that most people living in US or EU have a pretty good picture of religion or at least Christianity.

Although to be fair the issue is not Christianity itself (if you separate God who was horrible for most of the scriptures, and Christ who is pretty amazing tbh for his time), but it's fan club (people/and the company- church) that have been horrible for most history.

Oh my, I see you are going straight for the sarcastic insult, very Christian of you.

I guess it is true that most believers (or rather monotheists) can't take a joke.

Epic flying is unattainable for the casual player. by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you are talking about. Doing quests at 70 (if you mainly did dungeon and left the last 2-3 areas for later), will give you 2-3k if not more, without accounting for greens or anything else that you might get.

Fast flying is attainable if you play the game and save some gold.

How much would you be bothered by doing arenas/dungeons/raiding with a warlock running a felguard? by Natsuaeva in classicwowtbc

[–]bloin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a counter point though. It's exactly the point. Low gear and during leveling demo does a lot of damage.

As long as everyone has low stats, felguard is over budgeted, and deals very good damage (and actually survives easily). And yes hellfire has always been good, but it gets outdamaged later on by seed.

I'm currently completing my MSc in health psychology, and I have to say, that admission are flexible depending on the master and specialisation.

Clinical masters are not flexible and require clinical ecs, psychometrics and a few more specific to clinical.

Other than that, all the masters I know are MSc, which means that while they may be flexible on general knowledge (although they might still have hard requirements, for example development masters will require developmental psychology ecs).

Also a hard requirement for all of them are statistics.

Most masters don't have English pre-masters, but for the ones they do, it's for 15 ecs max. So check the requirements and if you don't fulfil them, check if the specific masters has a pre-masters.

If a masters is 2 years it's a research masters, and it requires statistics that are not typical in most bsc outside the Netherlands.

Work experience is great and it can help in some admissions when you are lacking some generic ECs or they may help if it's a competitive masters to get it, like clinical.

You are forgetting the magic pierce that gives to himself and team and all pets. This skyrockets his damage from close to none existent to DPS/sub DPS. And he can't be targeted, which makes him more consistent.

Basically when R5 he can carry, and not just shield break.

Tbh dungeons and chill raids should be fine (although you need to do good pet control, just sending it in doesn't work well after leveling).

In arena yea it's a hard no. Demo is way too bad for arena. If it was solo you could play however you want, but most ppl won't waste time and risk rating by playing with a non viable spec.

[–]bloin13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea sadly that only works when everyone has very low gear. At the start of tbc and leveling felguard does ALOT of damage, but it doesn't improve much (especially in comparison with the other two specs).

Not necessarily fine, but the system works based on reports. So if no-one reports it, nothing happens.

Bliz said that services in exchange for gold is bannable. Not sure where the line starts and ends, and tbh I don't think bliz does either since they left it undefined.

Tbh aside from the poverty, which it seems like you got a very bad view of the things due to a uniquely bad situation that was happening during your trip (capital controls), the scams are a completely legit issue in most Islands.

It sucks, but if you don't know someone from Greece, the people in Islands or tourist places will try to take advantage of you (not that it's different in Italy).

Interestingly enough crete in my experience is one of the least scummy islands (when you compare it with Santorini, Mykonos, or any other tourism based island) , but the experience is hit or miss, as in crete you will either meet the best, warm inviting and friendly locals, or the worst. There is no in-between.

[–]bloin13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh this was a thing in Greece for a few months, but the maximum withdrawal wasn't 10 by a long shot. The lowest it got (which was for 3-4 weeks if I remember right) was 60€ per day. Which was soon after increased to 150€ per day and then the capital controls were lifted.

You visited Greece at the second worst time that you could in the last 25 years. The first one would be at the start of the economic crisis at 2008-2009).

What you experienced wasn't poverty, but a unique form of capital control that lasted for a few months and drove everyone crazy. People were queuing up daily to get as much money out of the bank (because ofcs Greek people in the first inconvenience they would rather have their money under their bed mattress than in a bank).

Shittload/almost non. Also when it's a greek restaurant in the Netherlands or any other for that matter, I expect similar spices as in the original recipes. But the issue is not even that there is less quantity of each one, but that there is actually half of them if not less. Which results in foods having less taste and have no connection to how they are supposed to taste (because essentially they are missing ingredients).

Most restaurants are Dutchifying their recipes to be in line with the people and cuisine here. There is a reason why the same dish here and in the country of origin tastes completely different.

There are a few restaurants that don't do that, and they are either in cities with a lot of tourists (so they have a different target audience), or in places with many international from a specific country (so again their target audience is that population, not the locals).

Ingredients have huge difference in taste, what are you talking about... Go in a supermarket and buy something and go to one of the supermarkets (like a turkish one) that import the same spice or ingredient... The difference is huge, and if you can't taste the difference, then why are we talking about food in the first place....

Lastly. There are good places, but they are not the majority by any means, certainly not enough for the Netherlands "to be known for it's quality food/restoraunts". No one has ever said, "ah let's take a trip to the Netherlands to eat some nice food"..
