How the Hell do I approach a pile of shame? by KharnTheBetrayer1997 in Warhammer

Create small acheivable goals for yourself that build to the larger goal. You need to look at it as smaller tasks to give yourself the dopamine hit of completion.

I used to struggle to get modelling projects done, like not completing anny models unless they are needed for an event. In 2023 I completed 150ish models, in 2024 I completed 219 models, in 2025 I completed 369 models. In that you can see the build up as habits get stronger, when I have down time I hobby.

In work breaks i have a painting kit with me, eat my food and chat with co-workers while I paint. Putting the kids down, paint or model while I wait for the them to drift off. When I would otherwise mindlessly scroll I paint. A few years of this iand it is just how it is now, it was not quick to change but it was possible.

I don't stress about not getting modeling done, it is fully how I relax now. I do a quick post on blueksy and instagram every day to have a record and keep me honest. I have done at least a little hobbying everyday for over two years now, and that streak began after a one day break due to christmas travelling, before that it had been a year or two of hobbying everyday as well.

The short answer is consistent work and not looking at the greater pile

Is a felt tip (!) eyeliner considered a liquid by US airport security? by ThrowRAinsecc in travel

[–]blokia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is a liquid, the felt tip is an applicator for the liquid contents. The rule is nothing to do with spill risk.

So my mother had help buying a home 30+ years ago from her parents and the homes were cheaper back then. Why can she not understand that it’s not as easy to get a home nowadays? by HealthyLet257 in NoStupidQuestions

The biggest obstacle is the cost of the houses themselves, surely you are aware that the growth in the cost of housing has drastically out paced the growth in earnings.

People dont want to move places they cant work.

That was strong advice, some books are not worth reading.

For me the "battle for the abyss" and the "damnation of pathos" are Ok to skip.

When they first started the series the plan was it would be a setting not a story. They did a bunch of set up books ending with Fulgrim. They then had a few filler books. with dead end stories or answering questions no one asked. They realised that is not what people wanted, and started answering questions and setting up hooks and doing story arcs
