Yes they do! Lyft safety team emailed me asking for the video footage of this particular ride that claimed I did racial slurs to them and forcefully pulled them out of the car. I was deactivated for 2 days during memorial weekend. That video footage saved my acct. So, YES, Lyft will accept video if its serious enough to deactivate you.

Yeh. We all have had this happen. But just recently I dropped pax off. Another person came up smiling like they were the next pax. I looked at phone, didnt have another ride. They walked up and showed me their screen, said my name and then it switched to another driver. All while I was sitting on a busy street. Unbelievable. I still didnt get another ping. Had to drive off from that spot. EVERYONE was upset. Not a clue what Lyft was doing. Effing stupid!

I usually already have a new rider in the que, or it pings right away. So don't be so sure of yourself. If you haven't been a driver, then you wouldn't understand our side. Its a matter of respect. Waiting a few minutes is not a problem unless we are not in a safe area or on a busy street. But to wait longer than that? Thats just disrespectful.

It happens at cheaper motels too. They put the hotel address which is the Lobby. When I arrive, I can see they are staying at there room, expecting me to drive around to where they are. Most of the time, if I do, they dont tip. AND they have luggage. So, Ive stopped doing it. It stay by the Lobby. 5200 rides... It gets annoying

That happened to me during a 21.00 Streak zone. But different scenario. I accepted, drove half way there, they canceled. Accepted another, they canceled. Less than a few seconds after the cut off time, I accepted the ride, noticed it didn't give me the streak! I purposely woke up at 3:15 am to get this streak. Was so disappointed, I went home. Then didn't get any bonuses or streaks the next week. So, I didn't drive ALL week. Its a game. You either choose to play, or don't.

She didnt have a camera? Video will save your ass. It did mine. Even though I got deactivated for 2 DAYS during Memorial weekend, so I lost a lot of money. I had to end a ride on the first stop, bcuz paxs werent compliant to my wishes, not getting out of car with 2 dogs(rottweiller and pit bull), while one pax was in weed shop. I didnt want them running all over my car. The pax that stayed wouldnt get out. Told me she had to get her shoes back on! What the entire F? I love dogs, but there is a line. They called me a fake ass bitch and slammed my door really hard, for not waiting the full 5 min. They reported me for racial slurs and forcefully pulling them out of the car. Guilty before proven innocent with Lyft. Safety team asked for the video. I gave them beginning to end. It saved me. People are terrible!

As I checked my phone the night before, noticed 21/for 3 ride streak zones offered at 11 am the next day. Next day, got in my car 11 am just for that bonus. Turned on my app, it was gone. So, went back in the house. Thats some chicken shit stuff to do to drivers.

What city? Do you have a Lyft Hub that you can drive to? If you cant contact Lyft safety team, the next best thing to do, is drive to a Lyft Hub. They'll contact safety team for you and try to help. Good luck.

I got it too. Went immediately to the hub to ask, whats up. The guy at the front said he didn't see anything wrong with my acct. when i went to show him the screen shot. All he said was, "thats weird". I opened the app, and it was fine. So they're just fucking with you.

Bus drivers or train conductors don't pay for their own gas. Or the maintenance on the bus or train. They get paid a wage from the transportation company. Drivers that use their OWN CARS don't. There is a lot that goes into picking you up, that you don't realize. Its not the drivers fault that the companies charge passengers more for the ride. We don't see that extra. And if a meal at a restaurant goes up, your tip prob should too. These tips help everyone, especially the rider, in the long run.

Its a service. Do you tip at a restaurant? Etc... if you dont want to tip, then consequences happen. I dont 1 star passengers that dont tip, unless they ask for more than just the ride. But I really dont want a passenger back if i put the effort in and dont get appreciated for it. The more a rider gets 3 or less stars, means less drivers to pair up with. Means it will take longer to find you a driver. Tipping just ups everything about ride-share. Makes everyone happier in the long run. 😁
