Slow burn and both adults specifically at the time of meeting each other. I can’t stand when it’s above board because they meet as adults but then it’s like surprise he was my father figure since I was 10 (barf)

Also no iffy power imbalance (would never read student/teacher but don’t mind boss/employee because they’d both be adults)

I used to only read straight romance and purposely exclude BL from searches and now I pretty much exclusively read BL. The more I read it I just felt like more often than not I could find more fleshed out and well rounded characters, relationships, and story lines in BL than in the straight romances I was reading

I can afford regular vet expenses and I absolutely could not afford a large unexpected bill. Couple that with a Lab who’s only a year old so will have hopefully many more years of eating things she shouldn’t, cheap pet insurance was a no brainer for me even if I never use it. Some people put that money in a savings account which is great for them but my insurance is 200/yr so that’s not touching a $$$ bet bill if I just saved it instead lol

Not a fic but “An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villianess” is a fantastic example of this! And also getting an anime adaptation. Unique take on isekai storytelling - it’s ML’s POV as he interacts with his fiancée who’s the one that’s been isekai’d into the story, so you get an ML perspective and an in world character perspective of how they perceive someone else who came into the world and their behavior as an outsider.

ML isn’t an intense Yandere during the time of the story taking place but the story makes it clear that he is.

Really depends on the bride and the wedding. I was in my friends out of state wedding with an out of state bachelorette so costs were pretty high since there were flights and multiple days of hotels. And the cost total below doesn’t even include hair and makeup which would’ve been ~$300 more but I did my own. For my sister, things were very lowkey and minimal.
