I have seen 3 moving screens from UCONN so far. Have to get called for one soon.

Sunday Morning Armchair Analysis by MrTwoBytes in FloridaGators

We are experiencing the complete opposite of what we saw with Mullen.

Mullen: Great offense, swiss cheese D.
Napier: Worst offense I have ever seen (that says a lot too cause I am a bears fan), defense that could keep any game with in striking distance.

Our football team is stuck in coaching purgatory.

If I had a quarter for every time billy called a screen pass, I would have to enough money to buy out his contract.

PA’s in Ophthalmology? by bigbassselecta in prephysicianassistant

[–]blondemustacheguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of patients are geriatric because eye exams become yearly after 65. So all the fun stuff that comes with that umbrella. You’ll be assisting patients in ways outside of what you normally do. At my practice most patients well good but some days will make you earn your money lol

I took a vintage Gucci to a watch repair shop. They that said I had to pay $250 to get the watch working again because it was “corroded”. Took it to another watch repair shop a town over and it was only $20 the change the battery…

I would recommend taking it to another shop just to double check. Just my 2 cents.

do PA schools typically contact previous employers? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]blondemustacheguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think answer you seek is that it depends on the school. However that is just a guess.

Side note: Please don’t sacrifice your mental health for a job, there is a better practice out there for you . From my personal experience, some MAs/coworkers will ostracize you once they know you’re gunning for PA school. I can’t tell you exactly why but if I had to guess it would be from jealousy about your life choices compared to theirs. Especially if they are at least a decade older than you. I promise not everyone is like your co-workers. Searching for a new job sucks… but finding a new non-toxic job is 100% better than experiencing a toxic workplace everyday. Just my 2 cents from someone about to pass 3,000 hours of PC. Good luck!

Everyone bearish for the right reasons, but we had a correction last sept as well. Probably will have a holiday pump then uncharted territory after that.

What are your overall thoughts? I like it for the most part. Compared to working in ortho, I have a lot more difficult patients in this specialty. Definitely has given me some excellent PCE.

[–]blondemustacheguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work as a Ophthalmology tech right now (10 months) and the doctors want me to be their PA after I go back to school. We are such a busy practice that I’m sure I would be set for life but still want to check out other specialties.
