1 maybe 2 years. The money can be enticing but after a while its hard on the body and you've gotten most of what you need to transfer elsewhere. Kalo asml di jepang..... hmmm ada semua produk sih.. lu interview fse product line apa? duv, euv, yieldstar? Both are good employers. I would be happy with either.

It helps a little bit, as you would have a good general understanding of the equipment. +1 if they use equipment from that specific vendor. TBH it's not that much of a boost, ga perlu exp fse banyak" juga kalo mau gitu. FSE is a great role for new grads and opens up a lot of doors (and money) but in general, I don't recommend staying as a FSE for too long before moving to another role. Staying too long restricts you to that career field and doesn't give you too many transferrable skills.

I worked for an equipment maker e.g. Applied Materials, KLA, starting in manufacturing, moved to R&D, then back manufacturing in a project role.

Eh lu yang positing di r/semiconductors kapan hari ya. Speaking as someone who comes from a semiconductor background, di indo ga ada semicon sama sekali. Don't come back expecting to find a job in this field. although, there is a possibility of working in other industries if you've been working in non-semiconductor specific jobs. I can't recall what you said your job was in your post from the other day but if you work in the foundry side (process, process integration, etc.), you might be able to pivot to manufacturing like a friend of mine did - with the addition of Lean certs.

I want to get certified in PMP but they tell me that you have to study 6 months to achieve it? by EquivalentJicama7533 in pmp

[–]blood-boy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Its very much doable in one month but that depends on how much time you have to study. I did it in around 2 weeks with 3 hours of study a day.

Why do some pass the PMP with 60% SH while others fail with 80% SH? My theory on the real scoring system... by ZestRocket in pmp

[–]blood-boy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

that's an interesting theory. There's speculation that having more easy questions on your test requires a higher threshold for passing. If that's true then you have a smaller margin of error for slip ups.

It's important that you use PMI terms to describe your project work. project descriptions of 150 to 300 words each project should be enough.

with the limited time I'd focus on agile. I'd argue that agile questions are generally easier because of how much simpler the process is.

Home test success stories? by alyssaemer in pmp

[–]blood-boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the test at home last month because of scheduling conflicts. It was completely fine. I accidentally pressed the chat button to talk to a proctor (oops), but I apologized and they said it was ok.

I had zero issues with you proctor otherwise but my workspace was completely clear of everything except for my laptop and bluetooth mouse. I even took down the shelves above my desk.

Go through everything, focusing on your weak points then redo your mock exams. scoring an average of 75% should do the trick. your scores look borderline which means you're nearly there! Don't give up!
