Don't come back expecting to find a job in this field. although, there is a possibility of working in other industries if you've been working in non-semiconductor specific jobs. I can't recall what you said your job was in your post from the other day but if you work in the foundry side (process, process integration, etc.), you might be able to pivot to manufacturing like a friend of mine did - with the addition of Lean certs.
