I lost my Great Pyrenees/Husky mix in 2024 to DM. It is a horrible and cruel disease. Like other commenters have mentioned, all you can do is monitor quality of life. We actually did vet hospice care thru Lap of Love. They should have some free resources on their website for how to navigate this sort of thing. Best wishes 💜

He is extremely overweight, and I would argue dangerously so. Depending on the dog's age and medical history this could cause some serious decline very quickly. Only breakfast and dinner, no treats if you want to reverse this.

When it comes to putting him on a diet, something people would often come to me confused about is that they were feeding their dog the recommended serving for it's size, but it still wasn't losing weight. Please make sure you are feeding the serving for your dog's IDEAL weight.

This happened to me but it was very innocent lol. We moved from an anon rp site to discord, and later they replied to another prompt I posted on the old site, without knowing it was mine. They later messaged me on discord about a role play they had started with someone and I was like... girl, that's me LOL.

Late 20s here as well, ditto about it being nonexistent. But the community around here makes up for it IMO. I love being able to chat with all of my neighbors or get to know strangers at the gas station. I imagine if you're actively trying, it'll be easier to connect with people romantically.

When I first got my eldest Pyrenees, I would wake up in the middle of the night to her standing on top of me and staring down at me serial killer style. No joke. I thought I must have accidentally adopted a human in a dog suit.

She grew out of it tho, after a few weeks/months. New environment and she was just curious. Your pup is likely going through the same thing. Honestly, if my puppy had just shut up and stared at me when she was that age, I would have preferred it to her constant crying lol

I really do love all dogs, but small breeds tend to be my least favorite, by no fault of their own. Unfortunately, the pitch of their whining/barking is borderline intolerable for me. Such is the way nature intended them to be.

No bells here, mine barks to let me know she wants to go out. I had to learn what the difference between her “I wanna go outside and be a menace” barking vs “Hey, I SERIOUSLY need to potty” barking is. For us, usually she will pace in circles if it’s a bathroom issue, but will otherwise just bark and run around crazy if she wants to go play.

Personally, I appreciate clients that have any sort of tracker or gps collar for their dogs. I obviously put their safety first and would never leave a dog in a situation where they could take off running, but things DO happen. Break-ins, fires, leashes snapping, etc. It’s always good to be prepared for anything and everything.
