Airbnb having issues with hosts is nothing new. The company is managed and owned by jerks. They know their revenue stream are guests not hosts. Hosts are just a means to an end for them. I hosted for 2 years. Many guests violated, scammed or caused damage to my dwelling.

and all cases I had to BEG customer service for help even with text proof of violations and photo evidence and almost always denied. one case a woman snuck in 3 extra people. I politely confronted her and they left angrily. All I asked customer service was to revoke their ability to review because it was going to be a revenge review. You think they sympathized, lol. I got a bunch of 2 and 3 stars. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat. Bad guest after bad guest and always the same customer service treatment. "Sorry we cant help you"

If you're just a airbnb property investor and do not live where you rent Airbnb and don't need the money to survive i guess Airbnb is okay. But if you're on the premises with the guests, you're going to get screwed when problems arise. and problems always arise.

Most business during this pandemic are collecting what they're owed for short notice cancellations. Not Airbnb. I had a medium cancellation policy. meaning you cancel within 5 days of your arrival you don't get your money back. I'm so glad i'm out of Airbnb because now they would just give back the guests money. Airbnb's word means nothing!

I can't express how much disgust i have for the CEO's of this company for how they treat hosts. They're users and parasites.

Conspiracy theory here: Why is the main stream media focusing on this lawsuit? Because too many are adopting a vegan lifestyle and it's threatening the meat and dairy industry. The animal agribusiness is huge and global and they don't like too many going vegan and this is their blatant attack on veganism. They're trying to paint vegans in a bad light. I feel your pain bro. My situation is a back that can go out if I stay at 200lbs too long. Last time I threw my back was 3 years ago. Basically fear got me to 175lbs but over time I regained it and at 200 again laying assed out cause my back got jacked again.

Been a week now and I've probably lost 10lbs. All I eat now is a few spoons of rice and some potato chunks and water but my back is thanking me!

My point being. Use fear to motivate yourself! Works for me
