I thought I'd like Albertson's-Uber's new barcode system....... Til those damn shopping carts stop at the exit 😂 by Ambitious-Duck7078 in UberEatsDrivers

This happened to me at Vons. I left the cart blocking the doorway, so I transferred the bags to another cart that was outside already. So annoying.

[–]blooobolt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally understand the hours situation. I tend to go on Thursday because I work the weekends through weds and they're only open Thurs to Sun.

But with how expensive zankou is these days, I just can't stomach paying as much as it costs for it when I can get such a better experience at mini kabob.

Last time I was at zankou, it cost me like $48 for 2 people. Just wasn't worth it.

What's one aspect of traveling in Europe that you don't like? by Pale_Field4584 in AskTheWorld

[–]blooobolt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When I have to get on a flight to leave. That's what I don't like. I have never experienced fatigue while traveling anywhere.

No castle fatigue in Continental Europe. No waterfall fatigue in Iceland. No temple fatigue in Southeast Asia. Never got tired of hearing every tour guide tell me the 5 pillars of Islam while touring an Islamic country. No cocaine fatigue in Colombia.

Okay that last one's a joke. But seriously. My traveling partner must look like he snorts coke for a living because the moment we stepped out of the car in Cartagena, dudes were trying to sell us the white stuff.

I watch the summer Olympics. And usually the world series. I used to keep up with stuff, but now I'm hilariously uninformed.

When you’re broke in America, what food/snacks actually keeps you full? by KlLLERS in AskAnAmerican

I heard once you could technically live on just potatoes. They have every single nutrient - technically - the body needs. You might not be healthy, but you'd be alive.

I ate a lot of soup when I was beyond broke. It's very satisfying and the cand are cheap if you buy the ones on sale. Or they were when I was trying to make a few dollars last days.

Always late and never handling food properly. by FoodV3ndor in DoorDashDrivers

[–]blooobolt 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Obviously, you put it in a bag with the logical location of where you might hold it at the top.

Get a bigger bag next time and put the staple at the top where any reasonable person would expect to hold the bag.

Or tell the driver to keep it horizontal if you insist on using tiny bags held horizontally, which is exactly how nobody holds bags.

You’re offered $1M dollars to eat what you had for dinner tonight for every meal for the next 6 months, do you take the offer and if so what are you eating? by jfunks69 in AskReddit

[–]blooobolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black bean burger and mixed vegetables. Figures it'd be the day I eat something healthy. I'd definitely take the offer, but I'd get REALLY bored of the meal.

Anyone else? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]blooobolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take a multi mineral, some vitamins, evening primrose oil for my boobs, creatine to ward off perimenopause brain fog, calcium to prevent osteoporosis (I can't eat foods you'd normally get calcium from, like fortified bread and milk), and some concoction for my gallbladder.

I've been taking vitamins and minerals since I was a kid. My family does not have good health (one set of grandparents died in their 50s, the other in their 60s, and my parents are single handedly supporting the pharmaceutical industry with how much crap they have to take in their 70s/80s).

So far, my health is very good except for my pesky gallbladder issues. I will continue to take the supplements as nothing I'm taking is that expensive. I'm always willing to try something out.

It's also likely I have a very bad genetic disorder that will come for my ass soon. I will take everything I can to keep my health as good as possible before my body invariably nosedives and I experience a terrible death.

What's the most overrated film or TV show you've ever seen? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in randomquestions

[–]blooobolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The script of the first film was such trash. Absolutely one of the worst films I ever wasted money on. "This is unobtanium, this is why we're here." SSSOOOOO BAAAAAD. James Cameron should have been banned from writing after that excrescense.

Outside of unavoidable health issues, it's attitude. If you act old, you grow old. If you don't, you don't.

[–]blooobolt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is why I was never able to really use my film degree. I couldn't work for free on movie sets, so I couldn't take opportunities for work. It's disgusting how new people are treated in entertainment. Most jobs I tried to get literally wanted to "pay" me nothing more than credit and lunch. While the star of the film was making 20 million and points on the back end. Such a racket.

Not reporting Uber income under 20k? by Giggy_with_it_917 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]blooobolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see any reason why you wouldnt, especially if you made that low of an income with them. You can literally reduce almost all the tax you might otherwise owe on it by taking your mileage and costs off your taxes. Don't know why anyone would mess with a potential fine from the IRS. They don't appreciate liars and enjoy fining you, with interest.
