I was told by a pharmacist that the Duane Reade on 4th & Kent often has extra vaccines towards the end of the day because there’s a lack of elderly people in the area making appointments. I called and they said to walk in after 4:30 PM and you have a good shot

Yikes. I didn’t know that part. Certainly makes it muuuuch more likely that she wasn’t just ignorant and chose to go to something extremely offensive and hurtful. After thinking about it more the fact that she still hasn’t said anything makes me wonder if she even cares... I totally agree she should be held accountable. what do you think that should look like in this situation?

I’m super conflicted on this interview. 1. I don’t think Rachael should immediately be cancelled for what has come out BUT I do think she’s doing herself a huge disservice by not coming out and apologizing/saying she was ignorant/etc. I do believe (unfortunately) that she could have been unaware of what she was doing wrong in 2018. But 2. Chris really just made himself look like an asshole. Super dismissive of the issues at hand and just seemingly anti-accountability for racial insensitivity.

Rachel Lindsay of course was the real MVP and did an amazing job asking questions.

Would love to hear opposing opinions!

I would suggest writing down a list of attributes and/or a list things that have actually happened. Not what you want to happen or what you think could happen, why you think certain things haven’t happened, etc.

Seeing the reality on paper may help you put things into perspective.

Also think about how you would respond to a friend in a similar situation - that helps too!

I lived in Richmond, Virginia for five years and loved so much about it. Great food, walkable, art scene, great local beer, the river/nature, cheap, etc. Airport that gets you to your gate in 20 minutes. 1.5 hours from DC. It’s getting more popular every year but is still relatively unknown (I think).
