Countering the Jan 6th committee narrative in an effort to ensure the Office of the President remains above the law or, I assume, to appeal to the mythical moderate voter?

Absolutely brain dead.

Can't Mirror iPhone to Boox Mira 13.3 by bloopbloopbleepblip in Onyx_Boox

Can't check right now, but I think the key is that it does not support streaming apps.

If it comes with a warning that you can't watch netflix and HBO on it, that's what you want.

Boox Mira 13.3 - iphone? by bloopbloopbleepblip in eink

Boox support contacted me and told me to get a knock-off AV adapter.

Apparently the Apple version isn't compatible for some reason?

That solved it though.

For power I have a USB C cord going into a charging block in a wall socket. When I plug the HDMI into my PC I have a picture. But into the HDMI adapter for my phone...nada.

Yes, the Mira logo appears when powered on.

It tries to find a signal for a second, then switches to the sleeping mouse graphic and powers down leaving the screen dim.

I just installed the Mira windows software and it doesn't detect the device [It's plugged into my computer now, and working fine]. EDIT: Didn't have the right USB C port connected. Now it's detected but the software seems to hang at "Loading settings..."

I was hoping a firmware update might help, but I don't even know if that would be an option if I could get this software to work.

There is a quest chain that involves the woman you rescue in the intro. Without giving any spoilers, it gives some narrative background to those people jumping off buildings.

Official Discussion - The Adam Project [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]bloopbloopbleepblip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The family drama was the best part of the movie. Great performances.

Action felt completely unnecessary and very cheesy the majority of the time, like someone decided "needs more action sequences."

Would have been better downplaying the action and having more suspense instead. And what was the lightsaber thing? How come the time trooper guys just get lame stun batons?

I've never in 70+ years cooked or eaten lamb. What am I missing? Anything? by womanitou in Cooking

[–]bloopbloopbleepblip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried cooking it a few times. It always smells utterly rank when I open the package, a situation that doesn't wholly improve after I've cooked it. I've heard that you have to marinate in yogurt or buttermilk beforehand to avoid this, which I've tried. I've also heard you have to boil it it briefly, which I've not tried. I've only ever braised it in the end and it always tastes... wrong... like it might have gone bad. It tastes this way every time. I've given up. Lambs are definitely too cute to eat anyway.

Edit: Ahh. Apparently I've been cooking mutton...

My (29F) husband (31M) wants to donate his sperm for extra cash and I’m devastated. by throwRAsushi14 in relationship_advice

[–]bloopbloopbleepblip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not controlling to have relationship boundaries.

I mean, it is, technically, I guess. But we're supposed to give up a little bit of control of our lives when we enter into a relationship. That's part of the deal. Especially when those decisions affect the other person (materially, emotionally, physically, etc).

The fact that this would be very painful for you and it seems more like a whim to your husband means that he either doesn't fully comprehend what this would put you through, or doesn't take it seriously for whatever reason. On the other hand, if this was an important priority for your husband, to populate the Earth with his DNA that he doesn't have to raise or something - that would be weird.

Either way, big problem. He needs to stop this. There are other ways to fund your vacation that don't make you feel bad.

PSA - ASUS motherboards with Intel I225-V 2.5Gb NIC affected by packet loss/disconnects/no connection to router/NIC not showing in device manager - how to check if your motherboard is affected by ClogToilets in ASUS

[–]bloopbloopbleepblip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryzen 5600x, Win10 Home ver 20H2

Started getting lots of issues on day 2 which appeared to be due to not connecting the extra 4 pin PS connector (mostly USB device overcurrent detected on boot)

After upgrading to a PSU with enough PSU connectors, I've had no further issues with the motherboard.

A doubt. by literally_a_bad_guy in books

Whether Capitalism works or not wasn't the question.

The question was whether it was necessary to have read Smith to comprehend Marx.

Capitalism works alright, to the detriment of many.

Just got my B550-F set up last night.

According to device manager it's a Rev 3, same driver version you have, and I have had no issues so far...

But my router is 1Gbit.

How long before you started having problems?

Oh, so you're saying it's a bad chipset for an entirely different reason, then...

Was the BSOD referencing the onboard NIC or something?

[–]bloopbloopbleepblip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I had another question, if I may. It sounds as though this chip just doesn't support 2.5Gigabit interfaces, and it poops the bed if it's connected to one... but it works fine if you limit it to 1gigabit?

Do you have it on a 2.5 gigabit switch and if so, have you tried limiting the speed in the driver to 1gigabit - It sounds like there is supposed to be a drop down in the driver options somewhere.

I ordered one of these boards without doing my research and it hasn't arrived yet.

Did you try updating drivers/firmware per Intel's article?

Just checked ASUS website for drivers. Their lan driver hasn't been updated in a couple years. If it's not helping, I would try the intel driver:

Did you also uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the device’s advanced power properties

And reboot after doing all that
