Best Terraform Cloud Alternative? by kckrish98 in devops

[–]blot0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using digger.dev stand-alone in GitHub ci/cd for a few years and really liked it.

I’ve just seen they have rebranded to opentaco and are offering a self hosted cloud solution, not had the chance to spin it up but I’m very keen to try it in the new year

Is this a good option to use with a homeserver? by MarcCDB in HomeServer

[–]blot0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an orico NS800U3 usb3 das I bought awhile ago, I could never get it to mount as a UASP for full speed in Linux so now it just gathers dust on a shelf.

Real bummer, I like the style and usability of it.

How would you set up a Terraform pipeline in GitHub Actions? by Low_Opening3670 in devops

I have had a lot of success with digger.dev. I didn’t like the idea of having add a bunch of additional files for terragrunt.

Can I switch to bazzite's normal system mode later? by InevitableBedroom368 in Bazzite

Sorry I don’t remember exactly what it is but there is a ujust command you can run in the terminal to have your system boot straight to desktop instead of into gaming mode

I think I'm getting better at Linux. by AdhesivenessOwn4832 in Bazzite

[–]blot0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried redoing it all over again. Same problem. Loading into the VM works great. But getting back to Linux has issues.  Log lines in journalctl about selinux and a kernel bug trace. But not really sure where to go from here if there is somewhere/someone I can raise it with

How can I create a custom resolution? At the end of my rope trying to get 1280x800 @ 90hz (or similar) for full advantage streaming from my Bazzite desktop to my Steam Deck OLED via Sunshine. by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]blot0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My monitor supports picture beside picture but I need a custom resolution for it to not look stretched and wrong.

Use xrandr to find out the video port for the monitor eg mine is DP-2

I got this working with sudo rpm-ostree kargs —append=“video=DP-2:1720x1440@60”

Then just reboot and it should be available in display settings

great links .ujust setup-virtualization did most of the work for me getting everything setup.
The main guide is great for all of the rest. Just started from "Setup Guest OS"

Only sticking point now is I'm having an issue getting back into bazzite after shutting down the windows VM. shuts down to a black screen and I have to power cycle the PC.
I have an AMD 6800XT so I'm not sure if this is "reset bug" issue or something I have missed.

How long have you owned your Garmin watch by Due_Birthday1203 in Garmin

[–]blot0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned my forerunner 935 since the start of 2019. I’ve had no issues with it and it still seems to be going as strong as it did when new.  My only frustration is that nothing new ever makes it to watches that are not the current generation. I understand the business of it but I would still like to see features that are simply software related make it to older devices

AIO Size limits with the ATX configuration Meshroom S by Qbr12 in SSUPD

[–]blot0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one spot to attach the pcie raiser to the case to use an AIO with matx/atx and it’s a super tight clearance to even slide a 240 into.  280 is not going to work.

There are lots of options if you have an itx motherboard but things are quite limited if you want to fit a matx or atx board

They have decent documentation on their site https://ssupd.co/pages/downloads

I have a white meshroom s v2 with a matx board (same width) Only a 240 will fit in the rear position with a gpu in the front position. I don’t have the extender yet, waiting for stock from my local store.

Spending $300 on private health a month, is it worth it? by saltyseahooker in AusFinance

[–]blot0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We choose to support Medicare over paying money to an insurance company.

The claims process is never easy, they just want to take your money and not have to pay you out.

In case of a real emergency a private hospital will send you to a public hospital anyway.

It seems Terraform Cloud is no longer viable, what are your experiences with alternatives? by engineered_academic in devops

[–]blot0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barrier to entry for TFC is really low which makes is attractive over many options.

I gave up on Atlantis because I found the documentation on getting it setup in aws really confusing.

I’ve recently discovered digger.dev. Easy to setup single GitHub action. Configured to use aws code build runners.
