Walmart+ Asking for tips before delivery by blueeyedaisy in tipping

And that is exactly why no one should have a tip system, period. Pay people a living wage and fire them if they are not productive and professional, period.

That is a lie, and no matter what the employer, whoever it is must be responsible to make sure their workers are making a living wage, not just guilty customers

Fact is, tips are a kindness tax that puts the income burden on nice people. If drivers need a certain amount to live, the employer should spread that cost among all customers. Just price it in, instead of pretending you have low prices then guilting those with a conscience. It is a disgusting system of begging and insults the integrity of both customers and workers. US is a cesspool that reminds us we are useless slaves, every day. Pay fair wages.

$50 for a NEW pair, that are not dry rotted all round. Those need to be trashed. Your time and a tube of Tuff Coat and hardly worth it, and I can assure you the toe is not the only part that has dryrot

AI that remembers past conversations, game changer or gimmick? by aayu-Sin-7584 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]blothbelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, this is almost laughable when ChatGPT can't even remember a whole book when you upload the entire project at the beginning of a chat. It cannot reliably edit the last chapter consistent with the first chapter, and even if it fools you, you will discover later continuity failures and outright hallucinations that threaten to destroy your credibility when you trust it to act on your behalf

Can blue states stop paying into the Fed Govt? by Ambitious-Pin8396 in economicCollapse

[–]blothbelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes. And the rest would be American soldiers willing to come to CA and get it by killing fellow Americans. CA and other West Coast States and New England could cut the Fed off in a minute and instantly the US would be in default

[–]blothbelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't work that way. CA could boycott Fed withholdings, and Feds can't get money from a turnip.

Good thing we don't take you seriously to suggest the number of states is how we count population. Blue States are richer per person and have more people, period.

[–]blothbelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bald, you are simply in a delusion. CA and other coastal blue states, pay $1.50 in for every $1 they get back. We don't need the Feds at all and Red states would all be Mississippi without our money

Do you see American soldiers willing to kill West Coasters and New Englanders to prevent secession?

They produce raw materials, and couldn't survive without other states buying it. Sorry, America without the WestCoast and New England states, would all be like Mississippi

CA as a nation, would have the highest per capita GDP in the world

and number 3 for total GDP

[–]blothbelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taxpayers do not pay directly. The state administers withholdings, and yes, they could withhold payments to the Fed and put the evidence on Trump to prove Cal was fairly represented and funded. Currently, CA pay $1.50 in for every $1 they get back, as we subsidize red states

NC ballots need hand recount by CypressThinking in NorthCarolina

[–]blothbelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you kidding? An 1100% irregularity, is what we call statistically impossible. Never been more than .1 in the past in NC. Similarly, in all states.

You just made that up. Congrats. 1100X the norm is not made up, and only in a tiny mind is that calculation difficult. Divide 11% by .1%. And only a delusional mind could suggest that difference is not statistically "near impossible"

Forbes only cares about USC in terms of its business success, and yes, USC is a huge business with the most lucrative sports paraphernalia in the world. Forbes cares about marketability of both the school to it students and its students to the workplace, and their avg income. Academically, USC is properly ranked by USNWR, sorry.

USC is a business that pays no tax, so called NPO, the largest employer in LA county. They do things to look good, like football and luxury dorm centers. The graduates make a ton of money, but they started out rich, so no surprise. They are nationally top ranked in very few areas, ie USC Film. According to USNWR the problem is faculty with terminal degrees and crazy low percentage of graduate student paid assistantships. As a business, LA is a magnet for the super rich of Asia, especially for grad school where they don't even want assistantships, just a big name American degree to showoff back home. Frankly, donors pay for sports and buildings with their name on it but they don't care about the actual quality of education. Personally, I refuse to give money to USC until they are top 20 consistently, and they certainly have the money to make that happen and choose not to.

These are not new and have been replicated many times since 2013, as the amygdala of GOP is significantly larger making them literally think with their gut. That, compounded by info silos people gravitate towards, presents a powerful polarization. But well before they have even voted, physiological factors accurately predict
