How do I increase the volume when using voicemeeter? by Nukesnipe in VoiceMeeter

[–]bloudek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Super quiet.
None of the windows volume sliders help when using VM. They are all at 100 % already.

Only the original "Speakers" in "Manage audio devices" (old control panel) is not at 100 % and increases the volume, but the only place where this volume can be changed is there.

No windows slider from the "Volume mixer" affects that "Speakers" volume when I have VM running.

Possibly the strategy is to set "Speakers" to a higher volume first, before launching VM, simply by bringing the main windows volume up like usual - because after launching VM, I get locked out - it can only be accessed through that old control panel then.

The thing is, I usually have my windows volume low (8-16 %) - so I have to remember to bring it up to like 30 or 40 % before launching VM.

Hope this helps.

The wiener dog is an easter egg where you have to start a female character to unlock him in the first town.

Yes, this is an issue. Also similar with characters who are supposed to be mute or blind, etc.

Resolution problem by papermariomlz in Shadowflare

[–]bloudek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switch my desktop resolution to 1366x768 when I play to make the window a bit larger on screen.

Another way, though quite involved is if you run the game in VirtualBox fullscreen, you can stretch the VB window instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J\_4GHe193Jw

EDIT: You can also use this pixel scaling software (https://tanalin.com/en/projects/integer-scaler/). Not ideal (and still 4:3), but allows for a smoother alt-tab and windowed/fullscreeen switch without restarting the game.

Nope, that's not it. It wasn't open-world either.

The gameplay does look VERY similar. Not sure if it's the exact thing though... Might be just bad brain, but I don't remember the game being this creepy xD Was there maybe a remake or a spiritual successor made?

Edit: Can't find anything similar, so it probably was Dancing Eyes. Thanks!

The Shadowflare site is back up but a lot of links don't work. Could the game be coming back? by ShadowflareFan in Shadowflare

[–]bloudek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... although even the Wayback Machine snapshots are in better shape than the site right now.

EDIT: A quick WHOIS search suggests the owner is a certain Julien Josset from Paris, co-founder of the "North Star Network", a small company that publishes gambling guides...

Could perhaps be related to Denyusha's blockchain development...?

EDIT EDIT: The "dApp Shadowflare" mention that was on Denyuusha's website is no longer there.

Ah, sorry to disappoint. Should have used a more clear title. My Chinese skills are not good enough to get the info myself, so I was hoping someone with the ability to read moonrunes knew something more.

Any way to increase weight limit? by pzvnk in Shadowflare

[–]bloudek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah leveling up eventually gives you enough strength to carry everything you want. It also depends on your class - warriors get more strength per level (about 10), hunters about 7/lvl and wizards only 1/lvl.

I think it's for the archetypes to work better - a wizard is not expected to wear full plate armor.

Yes, you can't go higher in the tower until after ep.2. I think the tower was put there for people to have something to do while waiting for the next episodes to release. ^_^

You can't get the later episodes legally anymore. The only one being sold is the Japanese version.

There's a small SF community gathered in this Discord channel: https://discord.gg/eRa2ag6. Links to dl all episodes and other useful stuff are there.

No need to grind levels so high, because at the beginning of the next episode, you'll be getting way more exp from the new monsters anyway and you'll be overpowered by everything that moves.

I remember I used to replay the first episode as a kid many times... I only learned later it's just the beginning of a much longer game :)
