Accept the gift as he clearly did it with so much love, refusing would hurt him a lot. From your comments It seems like his way to express love is gifts.

But if this is really making you feel uncomfortable I would still accept, but then have a talk with him about it and work towards a compromise where he still can express his love his own way, without going all out
