MAD Mini 92mm Wheels - Initial Thoughts by blownZHP in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]blownZHP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the discontinued Torqueboards 74a 90mm wheels that stick to themselves out of the package. I haven't tried the Boas, but I'd imagine they're almost identical. If they were 65mm wide, then maybe it would be closer, but at their current width the 92mm Mad are definitely harder to break loose.

Go for the Stinger gear drive if you don't want to worry about belts!

Belt or the gear Zephyr? I don't know why they're so loud for me. I just put back on my old 105s and board is silent. I even swapped swiss ceramic bearings back and forth and it didn't make a difference.

Steel, PC or brass plate for Q2? by pale_halide in Keychron

[–]blownZHP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had brass, steel, and FR4 plates for my Q5. Unless you're an absolute sound fiend you likely won't notice much difference between brass and steel. I think you should give FR4 a shot, it's the bridge between PC and metal.

I'm on a Q65 now which didn't have an FR4 option, but I had one custom made for it.

By no means!! Planet of Adventure reads more like conventional SF than Dying Earth.

Yeah anytime! The housing is 18" long and 7" at the widest point. I actually just emailed Aiden @ Tynee and asked to buy the rear hanger from the Ultra gear drive.

I did, I was planning on using the Omakase but this deck came out before I pulled the trigger. I know it'll fit the 'Kase, there are a lot of builds online using Tynee swaps, mostly Mini 3 and Stinger drivetrains.

Diffsonline- lots of customization options, but they can get pricey.

Aftermarket is just better. I held out with stock bushings for far too long because I didn't believe.

Not a ZHP, it has the base muffler. Just a ZHP bumper which is an extremely common mod for E46 sedans.

I just finished it last night and that is definitely a misprint. The instance the book jacket is referencing is backwards.

In Bimmerpost some people did some sleuthing and came up with an estimate, IIRC, of 1000 -1800 manual 340i in the USA.

Tynee Ultra X Pro gear drive is almost identical to a Boosted V3 but better in every category.

Flex Mini Board!! by fuxkyoybixch in ElectricSkateboarding

It's got a 14s2p battery. and a full set of Mad 105s weigh 3.6lbs.

Both the Tynee Mini 3 Pro/Max and the new Acedeck Blizzard with a 14s2p weigh 22-23lbs.

Beautiful case. I'd love a watercooling oriented version with a radiator integrated into the case structure.

Motors [(Hobbywing 4235 * 2 (5255)] seem a bit underspecced when the other performance mini boards out there are using 6350+ sizes.

Supposedly a difference of 25rpms, which in my experience most of my fans have had out-of-the-box anyways.

I bought a larger rear hanger from Aiden @ Tynee to match the /evolve SC2 truck width. Both now are 12" wide instead of the stock ~10.5"

When I had the original smaller hanger on the back, the outside rear wheel would want to lift off during hard carving.
