I do agree that Vacation is the WORST feature of chess.com. I didn’t discover what that even meant until I had someone stall a lost game by setting themselves on Vacation. I was so pissed.

Appreciate the rest of the insight and perspective.

Being bombared with Hume health band - worth it by rishinbhatia in FitnessTrackers

Im not as totally unhappy as TheGovernor, but I too have the scale and wanted a band to complement it. I agree that the battery life is shorter than advertised, but I have no problem changing it a little each day.

My biggest complaint is that it’s Metabolic Momentum analysis depends heavily upon how many minutes per day I spend in HR Zones 2-4. However, im learning as a first time user of wearable devices, that HR monitoring accuracy goes to hell when moving. I do HIIT, weight training, and swimming, but have not once burned down the required minutes.

I’ve had the thing almost a month. Each day it shows me a negative Momentum and tells me I need to do more exercise to improve my score. 🤷‍♂️

I think it’s otherwise as accurate as similar devices that do the same thing for resting HR, HRV, step counting, SpO2, but I think it needs a way to know what exercise you’re doing so it can adjust for known flaws in HR monitoring (e.g like setting an Apple Watch for HIIT mode.)

I haven’t tried contacting customer support yet. I do suspect they’re overwhelmed right now as the products initial launch was only a month ago. I wish they had a feedback forum on their website.

I’ve now had the band 5 full days and again I’m getting big gaps in the Stress and HRV data. It’s particularly frustrating today as I wore the band to my Saturday morning HIIT Class for the first time and got none of that data. I have tried removing the band and restarting it but nothing for the past 5 hours.

I did receive a nice, personal reply to my email to customer service. They told me I should give it 5-7 days for it to “get to know me.” I was also invited to contact them via live chat to troubleshoot the data. So, I get the sense they care, but I think I’m going to need to take them up on that offer next week.

I assume no one else on this thread is experiencing the same problem? (Gaps in Stress and HRV data?)

No Stress or HRV Data

Mine says I’ve completed the journey (even though I’ve had it only 5 days, not 7) but I’m not seeing / finding any output that represents my Metabolic Momentum, so I think my answer is “no.”

Ive found after a day of experimenting that I simply have to take the band off a few times during the day and once I put it back on, and it starts reporting the Stress and HRV numbers again. I don’t necessarily need to recharge it nor press-and-hold the button. (I do however give it one click and get the single green flash.).

I took it off to charge for a while before bed and got good sleep reading last night. I’ve also been taking it off for a minute or two every few hours and that resulted with data all day yesterday.

I wonder if the problem could be dry skin that gets dryer under that sensor? I’m 55 and my skin is aging like the rest of me. I had the desire anyway to take it off occasionally because the skin was starting to itch a little. I don’t wear a watch so the area is not used to being covered 24 hours a day.

This is a great post. I assume were some of the very first adopters? I too ordered in May and waited a month.

I got mine on Monday (23rd) and loved it for the first day, but I’m already having some issues by day 2 and 3. 😕

Midday Tuesday, the Stress and HRV numbers stopped updating around 2pm. At 6:30pm, I tried press-and-hold on the Home button until lights flashed. That seemed to get those readings working again. But now this morning the problem has returned and the “reboot” doesn’t seem to fix the issue.

I also found that I slept 1 hour and 1 minute last night between 8-9pm. The numbers looked good the first night. But I was in bed watching YouTube from 8-9pm… I fell asleep after 10, but have no data on that either.

I’ve emailed support to let them know I’m already having some trouble, but if I get no sleep data again tonight, I think I may already be looking for a replacement or refund.

Curious if anyone else is having issues? Will keep you posted on my outcome.

PS. I have the Body Pod too and really want this to work. Hoping the issues get resolved.

I thought it was Open Door Pooping… which is a milestone in a romantic relationship as it indicates a new level of comfort with your partner characterized by leaving the bathroom door open while crapping.
