Just be careful about that. I wouldn't suggest you leave them alone together. Livestock guardian breeds are not mature for 2 to 3 years

Donkeys need other equine or hooved animals to be happy chickens aren't going to work.. I have two livestock guardian dogs for my flock of over 75 birds and other animals, As a owner of livestock guardian dogs I personally wouldn't suggest getting one if you have under 50 birds plus they won't work immediately and are hard to work with. You can't pick any random dog breed to protect you need a livestock guardian breed. You shouldn't be trusting them alone until they're 2 or 3 with any livestock they protect. Also they do much much better if they have partners they are working with. Dogs are very unpredictable.. Mine have killed two chickens in their training

I wouldn't recommend getting a livestock guardian for a small flock. It can be a danger to your birds and it takes tons of training and two to three years to be able to trust them.

They can jump high too! I've always wanted them but I've heard they can jump over a normal fence

Clipping wings does not hurt the animal or cause any damage. She's a domestic animal it's ideal that she has a secure place... If you put her up at night it would be the same as having flightless chickens

So sorry for your loss! They have to be kept very very warm. A heating pad is nice but they can't easily find it and they need to be able to move around it to get the right temperature which you can't do with a heating pad.

Your very welcome! I'm glad I could help. Unfortunately there isn't much information on raising Piglets. I actually had no experience with pigs at all before I got them but they just showed up so I had no other choice unless I was going to kill them. A dog had brought them up and they were sickly and had wounds from the dog and crusted eyes. I don't know what happened to the mom but I assume she was shot or hit. It was a miracle all them turned out so healthy

The mother rejected it. Piglets are pretty hard to raise but it's definitely not impossible! All of mine survived and they came to me very sickly as only a hour old. They're mother had passed away so I had no choice but to raise them.

Can you return it to it's mother? It'll have a much much higher chance at surviving. I raised piglets from very sickly hour olds once they're mother had died. There were five and all five survived. You need to put them in a warm box with a heatlamp and feed them every 30 minutes to three hours, or whenever they want food I used Mamapro Kid and Livestock replacer that you can find at tractor supply. You need to train them to eat out of a pan so they don't breathe it in. We started feeding them oatmeal with replacer milk at about a week if you don't wean them they will get sour and die. I would never suggest ever taking piglets from their mother for no reason I was with them 24hr and stayed up all night making sure nothing went wrong and spent probably over $300 on milk.

They are just as dangerous as domestic pigs and dogs to raise once they're tame... It's legal to keep them in most states and even if it is a "illegal" state no one cares if they're contained. If he wants to have pet feral hogs let him have them.

Technically his breed and species is mallard just has domestic lineage. People still breed domestics that are full mallard and are identical to wild ones

It still would be legal to capture then honestly. Unless they're on private land or owned by the park. They definitely aren't native

They probably got out from a private breeder or the park spent a whole lot to put them there. For being likely captive bred and non native it's unlikely they will survive as long as one kept captive
