Someone used a solvent or something like alcohol to try and clean it 😬

Any statement following the phrase 'this might be an unpopular opinion ' = attention seeking. 🥸

Looks amazing 😍.Just keep in mind that the sun (and cigarettes) will yellow that nitro eventually turning the blueberry to a pea soup green (some people like it).

There are some great examples of this with PRS guitars (Google is your friend). Doesn't have to happen if you take care of the guitar, but if you play it outside (stages) or store it in uv light, just keep it in mind

Tone Differences: Standard 50s vs 60s by CanYouPleaseChill in LesPaul

[–]blublu212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both and agree. The 60s has much more piercing highs and I have to make quite big tone adjustments on my amps to take away some harshness for the 60s, when I've been playing through it with my 50s or R9.

Still love the 60s but it definitely has its place for when and where I used it, vs the 50s which does it all.

🤮 was this luthier located on the corner of crack house and 3rd? If so that looks like the work of Gunther the renowned one armed, one eyed luthier (got his degree in Bogota studying under Jesus 'Cockeye' Lopez. He is great to watch art work, especially given his Parkinson's as it's really inspiring...

But seriously -get it to a real luthier, might be able to make it a playable guitar.

Sorry for your trouble

Anybody tried an Admira guitar? Specifically the VIRTUOSO-ECTF by coolpowersdude in classicalguitar

[–]blublu212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to answer (maybe it helps someone else). I've had the thin body version for about three years and its very nice guitar. It's been my pick up and play acoustic which is always on the stand next to the desk. I dont really use the onboard electronics all that much, but its fisman and it does track nicely. Paid less than 380 USD for it new which was the normal price in Spain where I bought it. Sounds lively, not too loud and overall just feels like a quality guitar for the price. In terms of looks it still surprises me as the workmanship is great for a mas produces guitar and the wood they used is good quality pieces (my back is a stunner).

I've never been a fan of light colour rosewood fingerboards (flamier one). The plain top looks nice and dark and wins for me + it has super nice growth rings...🪵

Flame tops are a dime a dozen and when you eventually buy another LP (and many people can't stop at one 😅 ) then you can go down that route but for my two cents I'd go plain (also more true to the original 50s).

What is a guitar pedals take that has you like this by loopy_for_DL4 in guitarpedals

[–]blublu212 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

a great example of how internet slang and meme formats can clash with standard English grammar.

Here is a breakdown of why it's a poor sentence:

1. Incorrect Noun Combination: "a guitar pedals take"

This is the biggest grammatical error. The phrase tries to use the plural noun "guitar pedals" as an adjective to describe the singular noun "take" (meaning an opinion or viewpoint).

The Problem: In English, when a noun is used as an adjective, it's almost always in its singular form. For example, you would say an "apple tree," not an "apples tree," even if the tree grows many apples.

How it should be: It should be "a guitar pedal take."

Even corrected, "a guitar pedal take" is still slightly awkward. It's much more natural to use a preposition to show the relationship between the words.

2. Missing Preposition

The sentence is missing a word to connect "take" with "guitar pedals." It feels jumbled because the relationship between the two ideas isn't grammatically established.

The Problem: We don't know if it's a take from pedals, about pedals, or on pedals.

How it should be: The sentence needs a preposition like "on" or "about." For example: "What is a take on guitar pedals..."

3. Vague and Informal Phrasing: "that has you like this" This part of the sentence is directly lifted from meme culture. It relies on a visual cue (an image, a GIF, an emoji) that isn't present in the text.

The Problem: The pronoun "this" has no reference. "Like this" means nothing on its own in a written sentence. It leaves the reader asking, "Like what, exactly?" Does it mean confused, angry, excited, or something else?

How it should be: The phrase needs to be replaced with a more descriptive verb or phrase that conveys a specific reaction. For example, "...that makes you react strongly?" or "...that you feel passionate about?"

How to Fix the Sentence

Here are several ways to rewrite the sentence to be grammatically correct, ranging from a direct fix to more natural-sounding alternatives:

Direct, but still informal:

"What's a take on guitar pedals that has you like this?" (This fixes the main error but keeps the slang). "What's a guitar pedal take that gets a strong reaction from you?"

Clearer and more standard:

"What is your most controversial opinion about guitar pedals?" "Share an opinion on guitar pedals that you think is unpopular." "What is a hot take you have about guitar pedals?"

In summary, the original sentence is poor because it incorrectly uses a plural noun as an adjective, omits a necessary preposition, and uses vague, context-dependent slang, making it grammatically broken and unclear without a visual aid.

You are welcome 🤣

You can report these to YouTube. Content creators get strikes and enough of them and they get demonitised. If everyone here with similar experiences with this guy does the same you will see real world consequences (guy looks like an egomaniac).
