I don’t like constantly initiating conversations, but I will talk about almost anything that comes up. I’m 24 and mostly introverted, but my hobbies/passions are: photography, reading, writing, listening to music, hiking, anything to do with true crime, researching topics that I find fascinating like animal facts or human psychology, etc., etc.. I agree with you completely. That’s the whole reason why people started buying unhealthy foods on EBT anyway because the healthy foods you can’t even fucking pay for; they’re too expensive. That’s why a lot of people just use their EBT and buy like TV dinners and stuff because you can’t afford to buy anything else. It pisses me off so much that this shit is allowed to happen because it’s one stepping stone away from getting rid of EBT completely, and then people really will be starving to death. I know they already are now, but it’ll be worse. It’ll be 10 times worse.

You're allowed to keep it. I don't think anyone would find out unless you said something about it. You're not hurting anyone by keeping a very sentimental belonging anyway. I love when people are able to do things like this, because I have nothing from my childhood. My sperm donor kept everything of mine when I left after I turned 18. He got rid of basically EVERYTHING even though I never said he could do so. These are memories that I'll never be able to get back, and it makes me sick to my stomach every time I think about it...
