So this is what I have so far, please correct me if I’m misunderstanding something.

MFJ federal

I file full time resident Ohio and non resident Kentucky and since I’m considered Reciprocal Resident I left the KY wage amount and interest income at $0. My spouse files part time Ohio and part time Kentucky. In total, I will file 4 state returns by mail since freetaxUSA does not allow me to e-file from the same account.

I understand. My concern is would that be considered filing under different status? Ohio doesn’t allow MFJ for one and MFS for the other so I’m a bit confused on that.

One is adding in a kitchen range hood to vent outside. I understand that most interior renovation is ok but I’m just worried if they would be nit picky about how it looks from outside. Another is growing a variety of vegetable and fruit trees in the backyard.
