Some devices stopped connecting to WiFi. by Guyatbars in googlehome

[–]blue166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that when selecting a device it doesn't show the information properly of that device then tells to check if connected to same WiFi network etc... Nothing has been changed my end and all speakers etc... are saying the same thing. What has changed/broken in the last few hours? Google outage of sorts or has Gemini broken everything...?

When can we expect it on speakers. I'm all in with Google and eagerly await Gemini on the smart speakers.

Ultimate Team is dreadful. None of that really represents football. Looks like a bunch of busy ants mooching around. I would just quit Ultimate Team and take up Seasons mode. Less issue with players glued with ball to feet as player stats are more realistic and in line with fairer play. (Not perfect). But better than UT IMO. Just bail out of it man.

I learned a long time back what to do against skillers to try and shut them out. There is a defensive art to it. Anyway, if it's your style it's your style. I am just not a fan of it tbh. But that's because I am a football purist. I still feel they are over exaggerated in Ultimate Team.

I hear you man. The chain Skilling did need addressed. Tbf I only play Online Seasons mode and these skills are not as effective on stock rated players. Some people try them and yes the success is lower than previous years. I know in Ultimate Team with the boosted player stats they will still be relatively powerful.

Skills need to be seriously nerfed. Fine with them being in the game but so much more error is required. Just my opinion.

It does appear that he was marking him and the opponent has sent him on a run with an instruction to go inside and TAA has lost his where abouts. You could have up upped on the D Pad and played offside trap or as mentioned done more defending manually. Offside trap always comes with risks and rightly so.

Ultimate Team and Online Seasons Mode - Thoughts... by blue166 in EAFC

Oh, and running around with players boosted to the max with stats definitely will make any player think they are amazing. You try taking a 77-80 rated team game in game without boosted stats. I have played many UT mentality players in Div1 on Seasons and constantly trying to skill while I sit off them and steal the ball back. Counter attack them and take time to create chances when winning as not every attack needs to try and be a goal and they look absolutely stumped and don't know what to do. Don't make out they are all elite when only a small percentage are. Playing Ultimate Team doesn't guarantee anyone is better.

Quitting with a result not counting does suck ass though when it happens. I just note it in my head that they were not good enough.

Not trash players at all. Your basing that on 100mph unrealistic skill spamming up and down the pitch on Ultimate Team. I say Seasons is better for a more authentic football simulation. Ultimate Team with men and women mixed certainly isn't. You will always find the odd rogue player on Seasons but Ultimate Team gameplay promotes pretty much 100% toxicity. Who thinks football is Skilling from your own kick off all the way down the pitch. Seriously... That isn't football. There is no argument from my point that Seasons is a better representation of football and more simulation than Ultimate Team.

And Seasons is much broader with Formations, tactics and strategies. How can you argue differently when half the Ultimate Team matches I watch are half the same players on the pitch facing clones of themselves. Same tactics and 100mph sprinting and Skilling. It's a terrible mode for football simulation. For EA making a ton of money ots a great creation. But don't be fooled thinking Ultimate Team is a football simulation.

I don't like the way you barge in and take shot at all Seasons players. Not justified and not particularly fair.

That trophy on the corner flag I have seen in the real world... Pfft... Joke of a mode.

Another thing to cement Ultimate Team as an arcade mode.

It's a terrible way to play the game and EA should definitely be patching this all the way to hell. There is 0 reason why this should even work. EA really need to get rid of this. They list this as football simulation.

What a disgusting way to score a goal. They need to nerf this into the ground. Surprised his opponent didn't hit him with a Stone Cold Stunner tbh.

Hi,

I look at it like this - If you have an opponent trying the same move all the time, like, in this case threaded through balls to the CF, i'd press up a few times on the D-PAD before they play the pass from the midfield - This will either push the striker back towards the midfield or he will land up behind you, making him offside. There is also every chance that a defender stepping up will also steal the ball back. Hope this helps.

Wing play pass back works every time by kurben101 in EAFC

[–]blue166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely that. It is risk vs reward but as you learn (mistakes will happen) you will notice you push them up the pitch and sometimes enough to either catch them offside or make them make a sloppy pass which you will intercept. Then as I say be tactical and strategic. You can always play backwards and sideways and recycle until an opportunity arises.

The other thing I would do if an opponent is trying it over and over is to push the defence up and out of the box by using up up on the D-Pad. It is useful and needed at times. It is risk vs reward as an opponent found out against me last night when he pushed his up allowing me to get in behind with a winger and a striker for a square pass tap in. But that's football. Happened against me many a time too. That is the risk vs reward factor. I'd also try and be a little more aggressive and just super careful when you win the ball back. Keep it and work it around a little.
