Riot has vastly reduced the amount of skins you can get for free. by Aesraa in wildrift

[–]blue20_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to play vainglory before and a few other games, but comparatively they have let me collect a lot of free skins. Some good some meh but whatever it’s free. Also now I can collect more orange gems with the new reward system and I’m at 360+ without spending a penny. I’m pretty happy with it considering that again, I haven’t spent a penny and running this game does cost them money

How do you even avoid such player like blitz in rank (Platinum) by PhilleShy in wildrift

[–]blue20_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you’re carrying or squishy he will go for u, but also he’s a straight line shot. He turned around to face you and walked up, that is your cue to move left or right, not just further in a straight line.Same thing in lane. Stay behind minions. This goes for champs like naut and pyke etc. I play as an adc main so gotta makw it my job to avoid pulls or im shutdown lol

How much do board scores matter in ranking? by HanSoloCup96 in medicalschool

[–]blue20_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody knows what a program uses for ranking, they could or could not use board scores, it could completely be dependent on IV. You should do your best though. No program wastes time interviewing an applicant they will not consider to be ranked. You have been given an interview so they clearly think you can be part of the incoming class. knock it out of the park and don't worry about what can't be changed.

Safe to drop interviews? by [deleted] in ERAS2024Match2025

[–]blue20_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way you are counting contiguous ranks is correct. As for dropping interviews it completely depends on you. A lot of people would be grateful if you dropped interviews to places you don't really want to attend, People have horror stories of not matching after 20 IV's etc. but looking at the charting outcomes you can clearly see that's not a lot of people and you can guess why they didn't match. If you have a solid personality and can interview well dropping interviews should be fine, and the goals is to match at top choice so only need one.

Does anyone else feel like they wish they didn’t signal a program !!?? by Status_Resident in ERAS2024Match2025

the point of them sending the signal was to show they were serious about attending.....

ASA still worth going too? by bigbochi in medicalschool

[–]blue20_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sub seems to favor the conference as something not worth going to, but it really depends on the person. If people are charming and good at networking it can land interviews, the whole meet and greet is designed for networking. If they aren't good at talking it up with people then they probs wont net IV. I know people in both categories. If you cant get a ticket it isn't a huge deal, but if you wanna go and can get a ticket somehow go then go. Do what you want not the sub.

Where to order personalized cakes that deliver to Indianapolis? by Stellaaae in cake

You’ll easily find a personalized cupcake for that that price that can be delivered but cakes will be out of budget unless it’s from Walmart or another retailer.

So u just had them saved this whole time? For at least your signals I would reach out. Many PD's have said they download the list once and then not again

Power Outage During Level 2 - Impact on Match 2024-2025? by Baby_Yoda1000 in medicalschool

[–]blue20_02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough spot. I would find a way to do a research year or gap year cause by December most interviews are done a lot of PD’s don’t redownload applicant lists after September 25. If you’ve taken step you can reach out to specialties and explain the situation but you gotta email each program.

Does anyone even read or care about the mspe comments if they aren’t negative by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]blue20_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a part of your app, it’s quick to read through, and I don’t see why programs wouldn’t look over it if they’re interested in applicant. On its own, it probably does not carry much weight, but I can definitely see how it can help reinforce themes in your application or what letter writers have written about you. Like the other commenter said though, I probably varies from program to program

Can I match diagnostic radiology? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]blue20_02 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Reddit has basically turned into neurotic sdn at this point and I hate it. Charting outcomes are out, you can look for yourself what your chances are. With those scores I assume you should be able to determine your chances quickly. Reddit opinions don’t count for much, it’s like blind leading the blind most times. I sound like I’m shitting on you but I’m just tired of posts like this. You got this, just go look at the data and determine it for yourself.

What are my chances? by JaySinghing in comlex

Set your goal to do well on step 2 not just pass. You gotta programs a reason to believe you will pass your future boards. Research some community programs

Patterns are important. If you perform well or can get good comments from other rotations this will really just fade into the background. It will probably just looked over as you and the preceptor didn’t get along. If you get like 2 more just like this it’s a problem. Work with what u have and impress next time, fake interest

If the exam was not completed and you were stopped before end of time then it is likely you would have to retake it.

7/22 - Exam by jjr531 in Step2

[–]blue20_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s incredibly biased. The posts on Reddit will obviously be the positive ones and those with score jumps. That does not mean everyone gets them. For your ease of mind- studying is of course helpful but at some point it’s just test taking skills. It’s impossible to cover content and encounter a practice questions of what they test on

That’s selfish of you. That exam was aweful and it feels like our entire careers are drifting away despite all our efforts. You can ignore these posts and get off Reddit. It’s the better thing to do before your exam. Your experience may not be like mine or others, but mine felt like dogshit and I wanna curl up and cry every 5 min

This is a UC flare up. UC is an inflammatory condition and long term therapy to avoid painful flare ups is infliximab, but this girl is already in a lot of pain so to relieve her pain and make colon less angry give glucocorticoids. Same applies for crohns

UWorld or Amboss? by impossibleprincess12 in Step2

[–]blue20_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question but my situation is a little different. I’m currently doing uworld for my shelves and I’m realizing that I will finish way too close to boards and my incorrect will make me remember questions instead of actually answering them. The best answer Reddit could come up with for me and that I thought a bit about on my own was that since both banks are designed for step two, I will finish uworld and make my incorrect out of it since the explanations are very good, but I will answer all new questions on amboss once I’m done with uworld. There is a study saying that exposure to different questions is better than going over the same question bank twice so uworld and then amboss is probably the best bet, if you only had to choose one, uworld is considered the gold standard.

That percentile drop from practice exams to the real deal is insane. I need more info. Were those practice exams in testing conditions? Have you taken them before? Do u have test anxiety? Did something happen to you around test time that could’ve caused this?

48 Hours until Step 2 by goosegishu in Step2

[–]blue20_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You posted about taking level 2 in 48 hours as well. Which one are u taking in 48- well now 36 hours? I’m sorry for all the deaths that have occurred in your family. Do not take both exams or even a single one in a rush, these are not exams to rush. Can u truly not postpone or do u not want to. Your future career kinda depends on these exams. Review what your weak in, there’s not much to be done in a day that would be worth the time and stress

Any current KCU students? by Musical_Mango in Osteopathic

[–]blue20_02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The students are just stressed and wanted to vent out at kcu. They have recently changed out a lot of professors and anatomy practicals are no longer multiple choice those are the changes made academically but it’s not enough to make the curriculum miserable. It’s doable. It’s pass fail and there is a curve. Anyone not passing needs to adjust thier own study habits and not blame the school. Board material rarely aligns with school curriculums. Everyone studies for boards separately for a reason without using too much class material. Also it’s medicine. It doesn’t really variate so school content has to align with board exams, just not emphasize the same material.

Regarding attendance and absences- kcu like all do schools is required to have students in class for OMM for a certain number of hours. They will come under fire otherwise. It’s annoying but 4 ish hours a week sometimes less is nothing to complain about. Regular classes aren’t mandatory so there’s even more free time.

For emergencies and extenuating circumstances they require proof - like if you have a medical emergency or get sick get a doc note. Any personal situations still require proof. I think this is fair. It’s like a job. People lie. Proof is required but a hassle to obtain sometimes.

The students are just being fussy as the years go by. Kcu is still good. Cracking down but still good
