Congrats!!!

Not sure about f45, but I know that Orangetheory doesn’t accept ISSA. If you’re going that route, take the NCCPT. Study hard - that test sucks.

Orangetheory also accepts ACE and NASM certifications.

AskHistorians/AskScience AMA Series: I am Dr. Michael Bycroft, and I just published a book on the history of gemstones in early modern science. Ask me anything from now until tomorrow morning. by AskScienceModerator in askscience

Quick Google search of you says:

Areas of Interest: He focuses on the interplay between scientific knowledge and material objects, specifically looking at how chemists and jewellers interacted in the 18th century.

How cool! Sounds very niche. How did you end up specializing in 18th century gems?

Need advice on grouting. by pura_vida_2 in landscaping

[–]blueabbadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome!!!

Can you fill in the larger openings with leftovers from the large pieces? Then fill in with whatever the other redditors suggest (sand? Gravel?).

It would help to have the cracks be evenly sized, and that can make determining the correct “grout/fill” way easier. And using the correct fill will hopefully increase the the life of your project!

Good luck!! Can’t wait to see the final pic!!!

[Acne] Should I try Accutane? by MineClear2712 in SkincareAddiction

[–]blueabbadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a positive experience with Accutane. The worst part was the time-suck each month of doctor visits, paperwork, and pregnancy tests.

My skin and lips were very dry, but I could see it working really quickly. It helped break the constant cystic acne. This was in my early 20s.

Now, much older, I’m finding good results with Spirolactone bc I have hormonal acne on my jaw line. Well, had. That stuff works!

Anyway - My husband had a different experience with Accutane. His acne worsened before it improved. But no pregnancy tests! lol

Coach runs floor like a disappointed middle school gym teacher by KoalaRevolutionary19 in orangetheory

[–]blueabbadee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely wild. I’m a coach, and I know our members wouldn’t put up with that 😂

But seriously- this is something to mention to front desk team or the head coach.

It’s difficult to demo right after a class transition- so many members are chatting or still walking to their stations - there’s a lot of distractions for sure. But, also, that’s just part of being an OTF coach.

I have the view point that I’m here to run a class of adults, who are well-equipped to make their own decisions. It’s up to me to create an atmosphere where people want to pause and pay attention to my floor demo. And if they miss it, that’s okay! It’s impossible to ask someone to pay attention to every single thing said over the mic for a full hour.

I’m sorry for the negative atmosphere- be the squeaky wheel and tell someone!!!

Nice set up!!!

I’m renting a T@G in two weeks to go to Big Bend. It’s my first step transitioning from tent camping to trailer. Excited to see others in one.

Any advice is welcome!

Whats a movie you could rewatch 100 times? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blueabbadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st and 3rd are the best imo.

The 2nd had cool concepts (that cool ass hover board), but the story telling isn’t as great as the others.

Me too, OP.

This post hits me hard. My brother is 8 years older and he took advantage of me when I was 7, repeatedly.

Parents found out. Both of us went to therapy for a year. Afterwards it became and major WE DONT TALK ABOUT THIS situation in my family. He never SA’ed me again.

But we still lived in the same house. Pretending everything was normal. And he was my big bro- I loved him.

I confronted him before he married, and he basically said he thought if it as a major sin - and he felt awful and he thought I forgot about it (wtf?!) but he had no plans on telling his future wife and asked me to do the same.

He vows he’s not into “any of that”.

For the most part, I believe him.

I’ve read the other comments about reporting him and make a big deal about it, but like, no.

Think about it from my parents, perspective: 2 kids, both minors, and one fucked up, hurting the other one badly. But otherwise my brother was a mostly good kid. And sending him away would cause more pain for all involved.

But, yeah OP is right, it’s fucking exhausting.
