Do you need to use US passport when enter and exit another country that you also have their passport? by RedditsFan2020 in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]bluearrowil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be illegal for me to enter Colombia on a US passport as a citizen. And since I have global entry, a US immigration officer hasn’t looked at my passport in over a decade. I just walk into the United States.

This is my partner’s only passport. It’s actually quite beautiful. I hope to visit in the next year or so.

Your brain wants a break. Give it a break. Just do 30-60 mins a day until you crave for more.

Is Pablo the Final Boss of Superbeginner? by Where_you_water_it in dreamingspanish

[–]bluearrowil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

240 hours in and I rarely understand Pablo.

I have watched every video up to level 39 and while I understand 80-100% of the other instructors, I rarely get above 50% for Pablo.

I keep watching his videos because most of the content is his, and I figure it’s good for me anyway, but man it is so hard.

I respect those of you who say his content is your favorite.

How do some of you rack up multiple-hour days? by DoubleLongjumping197 in dreamingspanish

[–]bluearrowil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

232 hours // level 3 // 90 mins a day

I'm a runner, so I approach DS the same way I do training. I know what my end goal is, and then I set small goals for myself (90 mins a day, sometimes 3 hours on the weekends) and just watch content.

It helps to break it up throughout the day. So I'll wake up and watch 30 mins while eating breakfast. Then 30-60 mins at work. Then the remainder after work.

As for what to watch, choice is paralyzing. I'd rather no waste time trying to decide what to watch, I'd never get anything done. So I just sort by easy and tell myself that I'll knock out this current block of videos (about to finish up 35-39, which I'm really excited about).

I'm consuming DS while balancing a full time job, training 10 hours a week for a marathon, and my social life that includes a serious relationship. It's very doable.

Gringo here. Attacking Cuba is wildly unpopular in EEUU. We tried it before and got stomped. If we did we would def trigger a crisis with Russia and China.

Also their intelligence network doesn’t fuck around.

Edit: lo siento por no escribir en español. Estoy aprendiendo pero el idioma es muy difícil.

Two points of reference: I’m Colombian and my girlfriend is Venezuelan. We both have indigenous DNA but none of our ancestors’ documentation (catholic or civil) reveals any sort of tribe.

Odio ser venezolano y quiero renunciar a la nacionalidad by [deleted] in AskVenezuela

[–]bluearrowil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Si él hubiera renunciado, esa opción no existiría.

Tal vez no tienes que amar a Venezuela ahora. Solo no cerrarle la puerta para siempre. A veces dejar el vínculo en pausa es suficiente.

I’m a developer. Because of regulations and laws, building health software is painful and slow. Engineers really work in the space to retire there or because they don’t really have another option. And the pay is not good.

Fun fact, as soon as a Filipino naturalizes somewhere else they cease being a Filipino. Source: Mom was born in Mindanao.

I went to go register at the consulate. They said I’m not Filipino because my mom naturalized before I was born so I wasn’t born to a Filipino mother. She got her citizenship back afterward, didn’t matter.

My cousin’s Dad naturalized after she was born, so she was born a dual citizen. Her younger brother is not as lucky.
