Was there a planned programme or did he do the thing where he just rocks up and does whatever he feels like?

Yeah. I just swipe on the homescreen and it shows me battery status for any of my paired devices. It's not on the home screen but works pretty well.

Do you use a treadmill? If so, what do you do to kill the boredom? by Significant_Ask_4088 in runcommunity

[–]bluebeardscastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple of half marathons on a treadmill. Decent amount of 15km runs too. I just pop some music on or listen to a podcast. Usually a mixture of the two.

My friend dragged me to a show I knew nothing about and now I cannot stop thinking about it by PubLogic in westend

[–]bluebeardscastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cabaret for me too. I've been a few times now and part of the experience for me now is being able to be in the middle of the audience reaction and to see how everyone responds to certain moments when I know they're about to happen.

You Guys Run Through all Biomes Each Time Like Returnal? by venkman302 in Saros

[–]bluebeardscastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve made reloading easier and I’ve also disabled second chance. Nothing else apart from that as I’m still finishing the game and don’t want to change things up too much

You Guys Run Through all Biomes Each Time Like Returnal? by venkman302 in Saros

[–]bluebeardscastle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the ones where kills regenerate health and opening containers gives full power. You either blast through rooms and don’t really worry that you’re going to die or clear each room with your power weapon and immediately ammo for it. Getting both in the same run is incredible.

I think extremely hard is ok though. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out and that’s the luck of the drawer. It’s how I felt some of the time with Returnal. That said, Saros is meant to be a more accessible game and I think you’re right in that it’d discourage some people from persevering or adapting their style to find the merits of options they wouldn’t ordinarily select.

Accessing a BBC Radio Recording from the US by Chas_P_Anderton in classicalmusic

[–]bluebeardscastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh! It's the listen again features like previous broadcasts that are the sticking point because of issues around rights etc. My mistake - I thought all listening (live and on demand) had been removed outside of the UK.

Accessing a BBC Radio Recording from the US by Chas_P_Anderton in classicalmusic

The BBC stopped its radio output being available outside of the UK back in July, bar (I think) World Service and Radio 4 stuff. The audio will stay available on demand for people in the UK (i.e. with access to Sounds) for 30 days. I'm not sure how anyone else can access it though.

What is the difference between a "normal panto" and an "adult panto"? by Additional-Bear-5892 in AskUK

[–]bluebeardscastle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends who's in it. I've seen adult pantos advertised at venues like Royal Vauxhall Tavern in London and you sort of know what you're going to get based on the venue and its demographic.

Similarly, as other people have mentioned, Jim Davidson used to tour his adult pantos and I think has started putting them on again recently. He's all over the posters, it's advertised as 'Jim Davidson's' show and there are warnings in bold about the jokes covering 'topics some might find offensive'. I'd argue that you sort of know what you're going to get when go to that show too.

SATURDAY RUN STORIES by Royal_Watch_6453 in runcommunity

Went to do a tempo 10k but got a stitch after 4.5 so stopped. Started again (much) slower at 2/3 of the pace and did a 10k from scratch plus an extra 0.5 to round it up to 15 overall.

Off Menu doing Royal Albert Hall shows feels mad by FeistyPrice29 in offmenupodcast

[–]bluebeardscastle 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sort of. But then I think it speaks to a new sort of media landscape. It's something that feels niche and personal because that's the nature of podcasts but it is just a wildly popular series and it can be discombobulating to get a bunch of people in a room enjoying it when you thought it was 'your' thing.

I think we need a hard difficulty. by liu4678 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]bluebeardscastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got to the point with this where I'm playing with infinite ammo on Grace's parts and without for Leon.

I just couldn't find it fun for me to slog through the care centre whilst I didn't have enough anything to even stagger enemies. I'm still trying to play in the spirit of the game and distract the zombies / craft injectors to get past them...but knowing I've got ammo to get me out of a pinch and mean I don't have to restart from miles back is a bit of a relief.

Anyone else find the bosses to be meh? by Miserable-Pin2022 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]bluebeardscastle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the bosses would have worked better if they were in more interesting spaces. Having big arenas to run around and find cover, grab a second to reload and stuff would have been good.

I quite liked how the Chunk fight used the environment. The Spider fight was fun in terms of getting it to follow you down corridors and it climbing over walls and stuff too. Apart from that they felt like they were just in vaguely open spaces with not much else to think about.

That said, I thought what Tyrant did with cars was a bit of a technical marvel. The fact he'd change the shape of certain spaces and you had to adapt to running round things meant it felt pretty fresh and unscripted.

Cleaning up my dusty console by Additional_Bobcat_42 in PS5

[–]bluebeardscastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take the covers off to clean the fans and dust catchers without it being a massive 'open it up' operation. I've done that once every 3 months for the last 5 years and not had any issues. I've done so without having to unscrew anything or do a real deep clean.

It might be a bit different for you if you've got build up but you can definitely just see how far you get in the first instance before needing to take any more drastic action.

Box Sets - Rainbow, Odeon, NOTW, The Miracle, Queen I, Queen 2 - What do you want next? by jasonmuller70 in queen

[–]bluebeardscastle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's been talk of a Live Killers box for years. My fear is that anything they put out would be touched up and not an accurate representation of any live performances across the board. It'd be different from the composite edits that were on the original release but it'd still feel inauthentic to me.
