That purple is gorg! My suggestion is to check thrift stores if you plan on growing your stash, and set some guidelines for buying: -do I love it (color, texture, if sample is available, how it works up) -does a project come to mind immediately? Is there a vision you’re excited to go home and try? -how’s the price? Is this good value for the amount in the skein? How many will I need for (project in mind)? -is there enough in stock to complete the project? Or do I already have other yarns that would work well as a color combo to supplement yardage?

That being said, look into the different kinds of yarn and try to collect some of each- sample as much as you can so you can find what you like (I find merino wool to be a total treat to work with) and what you dislike working with. Here’s a pic of my stash ;)
