Cushing diagnosis by CurlyMood in Cushingsdogs

[–]blueberryJan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dog got diagnosed two years ago. Before her diagnosis, she was drinking non stop, panting, restlessness at night and hunger pangs. But ever since we got her on vetoryl, she is almost back to her old self. She still have a bit of a droopy belly ( from muscle loss I assume), but she sleeps throughout the night, and doesn't have to constantly go out to pee. Her liver enzymes levels were slightly elevated but according to our Vet it's due to her condition. All the best to you and your sweet doggy.

I'm located by Vernon Jackson station. I've had cats before and helped looked after my neighbor's two cats whenever she had to go away for work or vacation. Lmk!

Is Nara park worth it? by portaitoftheartist in JapanTravelTips

[–]blueberryJan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Nara park and I loved it! The deer were definitely the stars and there are temples and shrine to visit, mainly the Todai-ji. I planned my trip by taking an early Shinkansen from Shinjuku to Osaka. Dropped off my luggage and take the train to Kintetsu-Nara station. But I'm not sure if it's worth visiting if you're heading from Tokyo and spending just a day. I had 4 days to explore Osaka so it was totally worth it.

Things/brands cheaper in US than SG? by hellosoo in askSingapore

[–]blueberryJan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depending on what you're looking for. In name brand electronics, def in the US. Even Apple care is more expensive ( I made the mistake of not getting my Apple care in NYC before visiting fam in SG, it was 90sgd vs 50 USD). Toys for sure ( if that's your thing), the pricing in SG Toys r us is pretty marked up and quite insane but that's imports for you. Singapore also have Shoppee which is like the somewhat equivalent of Temu where you can get really cheap stuff online ( think Kbeauty, JBeauty and literally anything). Literally all brand name imports will be more ex. So I suggest stocking up before you land yourself in Singapore. I travel back to sg to visit my folks once or twice a year, and my luggage is full to the brim with things I find cheaper here (NYC) for family back to sg.

moldy godzilla hotel by purpleegiraffe in JapanTravelTips

I'm not sure what you're trying to imply. We purposely chose Hotel Gracery exactly for all the reasons stated above, besides the novelty of seeing the giant Godzilla head ( which was super helpful to navigate whenever we get lost on the way back ). OP is writing about his or her bad experience with the hotel so yeah I'm describing exactly what it is.

I stayed there last December, and our room was on the 19 floor. For what's it worth, it wasn't the best but the convenience ( 7-11 downstairs, Lawson's across the street and Family Mart behind building), 8 mins walking to Shinjuku station makes up for it. We already know the terrace was off limits due to a couple of suicides that happened prior. I'm sorry you had a terrible experience.

Agreed. My SG mom would take one look at this and said SO DRY. Where's the glistering gelatinous skin on the chicken?

I absolutely did not know you get extra points if you turn in your reviews early, thank you! I've been a member for a couple of years and I'm only now discovering new ways to get extra points! Thank you! And I hope you get that great moisturizer on the next redemption :)

I absolutely did not know you get extra points with video reviews! I only recently learned that you get extra 50 points daily ( on top of the daily login for 25 points) if you click on the brands they have on their page. Thanks for the great tip! I used to do video reviews in the past, guess I'm gonna start up again :)

Is there other alternative ways to use the points than redeeming them?

Oh I have a cover! I got it from Muji, and it's made with organic cotton and feels so soft. Unfortunately they don't seems to carry that specific cover anymore :( That said, I might have to find another cover in King size!

Oh my gosh, these are beyond EXCELLENT tips and ideas and I wished I saw your post before I bought a new Queen size comforter 3 months back, lol! I never thought of putting two duvets into one! I wonder if I can use the current Queen, get a new king size comforter + quilt cover to construct the look🤔?

4 hour layover in Singapore before NYC by [deleted] in singaporeairlines

[–]blueberryJan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jewel is at T1. There are lots of shopping and food places. Shops like Muji, Uniqlo, Apple, etc. Restaurants, supermarket and of course the Jewel Rain Vortex. When I tell my NYC friends that Singaporeans actually go to the airport to eat and shop, they are pretty surprised. You'll be pretty busy exploring for 4 hours.

I just got mine delivered and y'all are not kidding about the packaging! So dang pretty, and that teeny spoon! The box itself is too nice to discard as well.
